I think that’s a stupid theory.

Whether a coach gets fired or not, has nothing to do with whether there is a replacement on staff.

Les Miles was getting fired whether O was on staff or not.

I don't understand the line of thought and not sure where it's coming from. The HC would be fired for making great hires and having success? How often does that happen.
I think DiNardo had the same issue, he was scared of hiring his own replacement. But the reality is if a head coach makes great hires with successful results it only strengthens the head coaches position with the institution and fan base.

ETA: The irony: During that period I wanted DiNardo to hire Ensminger

If Tech loses to Baylor this week, we may have our answer at OC

What's keeping him from suffering the same fate if we lose a couple more times vs Bama and he has a young coach behind him politicking for his job?

At this time no ones job should ever be in jeapordy because of losing to Alabama. Nor should coaches be given extensions because you beat Alabama. If an AD or BOT can’t look at a coaches whole body of work then they probabaly shouldn’t be making decisions to begin with.

It’s nit play calling your OL is terrible. He’s hamstrung because short of tackling your Ol can’t hold anyone for three seconds. Burrow is an upgrade but he’s not close to mettenberger making decisions. He is the product of much like Bama fans and Jake Coker of being overhyped.

plenty of teams out there with less talented Olines than ours that can score points. His offense is stuck in the 1980s

i know its beneficial to you guys for us to keep the same but LSU can and should do better. As O GUARANTEED he would when he was hired.

Right now O's DC is making $2.5 million because another school was willing to pay him $2.0. O's making $3.5 million, but NO ONE besides LSU would even give him close to that amount. If he brings in a OC that sets the world on fire, then eventually LSU is going to have to pay handsomely to retain that guy. Deep down, O knows LSU really doesn't even have to pay him $3.5 million...because there is no market for O outside of LSU. Thus, it's not unreasonable for him to think that if he has a DC in high financial demand, along with an OC in high financial demand, the Bob's might look at him and say "what exactly do you do around here?"

Pretty sure that is the closest to a perfect post as I’ll ever read on here well stated sir

CEO may have a litle Kim Jong Un in him yet! Any threats to regime change from within were ended before they even began.

Looking at you Aranda, you are beginning to become a threat to Ree and the posse, either fall back or face the consequences. (Nothing real, Aranda could easily be an NFL DC next year).

bullshite. Plenty of good OC’s make up for less than talented OL’s with scheming around the weakness.

The OL issues are becoming unbearable to hear from the spin doctors.

Its total bullshite, Burrow is a good enough athlete that you can do multiple things to give him a little extra time and scheme it in and not lose anything. Roll outs as well as moving the pocket and chipping. Foster is soft as baby shite in the blocking game, always has been but he can atleast put in a good chip on passing plays.

This is dumb and it keeps getting repeated. This is coach o’s shot at a big job. He’s trying to win, not sandbagging to keep it.
If o gets fired Aranda is the only guy on staff that would be an option to replace him. If Aranda didn’t want it then they would clean house. None of that is happening any time soon. Coach O is nominated for national coach of the year as he should be. When is the last time Miles won a game he wasn’t favored in? Coach o has done it several times already. He wasn’t my choice but he is better than Miles. He won’t be dumb enough to get fired over clinging to an outdated offense.

If it actually came out that Orgeron was sandbagging his own hires because he was fearful of his own job security there would be riots.

He doesn't want someone to do to him what he did to Miles.

No it isn't. It's fricking embarrassing not to mention retarded. It has no basis in truth and is only factual in the posters head. Keep licking his balls though it shows how fricking delusional you are too.
