also did not appreciate what he perceives as the double standard.
Like I said yesterday, he has a CRAW (claw as I called it) in his belly.
Trent Johnson is laying a dump in Year 2 continuing into Year 3 but has Alleva's support. Miles comes off a BCSNC, does the RIGHT thing by dumping that thug RP knowing he is going to take a hit in the W column. Alleva basically calls him out in public a year later.
How would you feel if you were Miles? How hard it is to recruit 5 decent basketball players? Not like TJ has won shite for LSU. (Not saying we dump TJ either)
MI met with him for 3 hours and MI is prepared to pay BIG. Miles talked to Alleva for 30 minutes after meeting with MI.
UNLIKE SABAN, people show some love to MILES and it would tend to influence his decision. Miles is all about doing the RIGHT thing and actually cares. Throw the "little debbies" at him. Take 5 minutes and send him an email saying thanks - lmiles@lsu.edu.
IF he leaves, we have some good guys lined up. But that is a topic for another time.

And if Miles wants 5 million a year, he better be willing to take the heat.

I don't know if I'm willing to give him 5 plus years with him not having to be held accountable for anything.

LSU in general should stop sending taunting letter to employees. A bunch of good prof and employees have left in part as an "FU" for sending letter saying they will all be terminated in a year.

He will feel ALOT more heat in Michigan. The program is shite right now and if isnt winning in 2 to 3 yrs, he will be in trouble there.

He will never smell a NCSNC at Michigan.

LSU must give a yr notice for termination, its required by law.

Yes, LSU is going backwards and budget cuts are being felt all over.

He gets over $3.5 million thank you notes per year. What more can you ask for.

the letter was bs, just like all the fools on here who were j/o to it 3 minutes later

CLM deserves some leeway when things don't go right. IMO Les isn't asking for much, just the loser from Duke to show maybe a little knowledge on how to handle people

The phrase you're looking for is he has something stuck in his craw, or feeling resentment.

Craw means stomach.

Miles is Skips guy. Every AD wants "his guy" as the football coach, and I bet Miles especially with the public letter, felt that he does not have Allevas full suppport. 1 8 win season is understandable 2 in a row and you should get some heat and 3 in a row its time to think about firing. However this is be kept behind closed doors. Allevas letter was bush league.

You've had a whole two days to look it up and still did it wrong.

Try: "Miles has something stuck in his Craw when it comes to Joe Alleva. I suspect it has something to do with the letter Alleva wrote last year."

quote:

MI met with him for 3 hours and MI is prepared to pay BIG. Miles talked to Alleva for 30 minutes after meeting with MI.

I would think that Miles and Alleva talk quite often. No need to do a big presentation or anything else with your employee. He already knows everything there is to know.

Trent Johnson is laying a dump in Year 2 continuing into Year 3 but has Alleva's support.

Why do you keep bringing this up. Trent had a great year, a terrible year and is starting to have another bad year. LSU wasn't a basketball powerhouse and the fans don't expect the AD to say or do anything for basketball like they do for football.

quote:

How hard it is to recruit 5 decent basketball players?

Ask any other SEC West team and they will say that it is damn hard.

quote:

Miles does not want to leave LSU but
also did not appreciate what he perceives as the double standard.

Question: Do you have anything to back this up, or is this just your opinion?

With Brady's talent.

Nice but show us the championship trophy. By comparison, Miles would have been fired by Year 3 if we got one winning season under Miles and then dumped shite in Year 2 and Year 3.

The worse that Miles has is 7 - 5 with a dominating Peach Bowl Win.

LSU put up some pathetic and embarrassing losses in 2008-2009...

The fan based was embarrassed by some of the coaching

Miles deserved the criticism

Alleva is feeling the heat, he had to let Miles know "correct course" quickly or you are going to force my hand!

I think a BCSNC in football carries a lot more weight than an SEC championship in basketball! Come on, people. I will be the first on to say I get frustrated with some of his decisions, but all Miles has done is win. He is a man of high character and he recruits players of the same while still managing to land top ten classes. We know what we have with Miles. We don't know what we will get if he leaves!
