All of our "tier 1" candidates are now out of the picture.

Jimbo - Came out a few days ago and made a surprisingly strong denial that he would not be the next coach at LSU.
Mel Tucker - Recieving a massive 10 year, $95 million contract to stay at MSU. He's not going anywhere.
Riley - Bruce Feldman and Brody Miller just today said Riley to LSU flat out isn't happening.
These 3 coaches have largely been considered to be the "tier 1" candidates for LSU for the past month according to 247 and numerous other outlets. And we're now at the point where we've now scratched all 3 off the list.
USC will be going hard after Aranda, with many believing Dave is their number one choice. He's from there and has family there. His path to winning would be far easier at USC.
With all that considered, we could realistically be looking at guys like Stoops, Napier, Campbell, etc. Not exactly a "legacy" style hire for Woodward.

If LSU matches or increases any offer that USC gives him, I think he chooses LSU.
