If Saban were leaving, the AD would not come out at this point and flat out deny it
Where is the denial?

Are you sure he's gotten to Fournette yet?
sure he might not have gotten there yet but that still leaves a big hole in his schedule... if he's been doing nothing all morning then he's obviously not "recruiting his butt off"

I need to see the questions he was responding too.

You can't be serious right?
Where are all the ADs right now? Wolken had a bunch of AD quotes before Battle.
@bbzachry 54m
AD panel, Bill Battle (Alabama AD): "I'm not on Twitter, but I have a blog. I'm getting cooler."

What is scary is Saban has said NOTHING on this subject.

Dan Wolken ?@DanWolken 1m Asked about the status of extension talks, Battle repeated: "The Sugar Bowl is where his efforts are and that's where mine are."
Yeah this is his shot to scout Oklahoma first hand so he knows he will whip that arse next year in the red river rivalry.

focused on ... playing Oklahoma [in the Red River Classic]

I'm partially serious
his last three recruiting visits (ky to ar to oh) had a twitter trail following him from the recruits he was visiting
since then, the crimson silence has descended
Sure, there's a lot of reasons that he might not be showing up on twitter, but these kids love their twitter and are usually pretty quick to update. Like I said, Fournette tweets CONSTANTLY. He's gotta be distracted in class

That settles it! Shut down the board. Let's go home.
That's classic coach speak on the AD's part and doesn't tell anyone anything one way or the other.
I will say that although I'm still leaning towards Saban going to Texas, Bill Battle is a very smart business man. My dad has known him for years and BB actually has a copy of Coach Bryant's last Alabama contract that he negotiated when he was his agent. The guy pioneered collegiate licensing and started a company from scratch and sold it for over $100 million. He's probably far and away the wealthiest athletic administrator Alabama has ever had. In other words, he knows how negotiations work

So you think he wouldn't tweet about Saban not showing up?
Kinda goes both ways if he tweets about everything.

You know, there's an important piece to this I've not really heard discussed much. The campus/AD political piece to the whole thing. One thing it seems Saban has at Bama is that they leave him pretty much alone to run his show. He doesn't seem to have much interference from the AD, campus administration, boosters, etc - he runs things as he wants to.
No way would that be the case at Texas. They're way too arrogant, and their boosters have too much power. I can't imagine them giving him the degree of control he has now. And I would think that would be very important to him. Thoughts?

If Saban didn't show up for his visit at Fournette's school, either the LSUrb or the SECrb would have it. Let's be real on that.

I think it's funny that you think Nick isn't at the disposal of the REC.

Maybe Saban gave up on him since his tweet yesterday about Bama fans having 3 teeth (basically) Hand signal was used.
