Maybe, maybe not. I want a young coach who thinks he can be the next Saban. That coach won’t care about what happened to Orgeron, because he will think himself far more capable than Orgeron.

What do you expect them to say, that they are hoping for an interview? The only proper response at this time is to take a page from the Nick Saban playbook and just lie about it.

Remember, we had all these options in addition to Coach O and they all declined or went elsewhere

No that is not how it went, we put all our eggs in one basket (Herman), and when he went to Texas we were left with O. Alleva is not the AD anymore, we are fine.

This is correct. Coach O, God bless him, became a crazy person. Divorced his wife of many years, entered an insane level mid life crisis and then lost his mind along with losing the school administration and the locker room.

So why did we terminate him without cause and pay him every dime of his buyout?

Or lets say it another way, if he was 7-0 he was still going to be fired... I dont think so.

Idk these aren't my words, hence the quotation. Dabo said that, who knows what he meant by that?

If I were a head coach at a school that plays LSU regularly, and saw that the LSU program was on the decline, I’d say lots of nice things about the LSU coach.

Examples: Nolan Richardson used to praise Dale Brown in the media every chance he got. He beat the hell out of Brown’s LSU teams consistently.
I believe Saban was a big Miles defender during the 2015 season. At the time he was riding a 5-game win streak over Miles.

The fans expectations are a straw man. The only thing that matters is LSUs expectations.

Keep telling yourself this and you might actually believe it. If LSU is currently undefeated, O is in same spot?

While I'm sure they like O, I'll bet almost anything that none of them would think O will never get another head coaching job at a power 5 school.

They are suppose to say that. In case they don't get offered they want to show loyalty to their school plus they want to stick up for their profession esp since they will have bad years and don't want to be fired.

Napier? Not a big name outside of Louisiana. He'd walk on glass from Lafayette to BR to get this job.

3 straight LSU coaches have won NCs, Woodward can attract a big name if that's what he wants.
