I think it was indifferent. So many rumors swirling around now. One at the moment, is we got rid of Long because the board wants to make a push for Gus. Makes me believe Long isn't the biggest fan. Who fricking knows at this point.

It never seemed like he took much blame for Petrino, and by extension John L Smith, just due to the circumstances and timing. I was under the impression he was pretty well respected.

He still was by many but these last two years have been bad. He probably could have handled this situation better. As I have said before, I didn't want him gone unless he had to go with Bert.

Jeff didn't cover the paper trail very well. There's been misplacement of money. There was also an FOIA placed that will come out and the BOT got ahead of it by the timing today.
Long alienated some big $$ when he first took the job. There will be a lot of new $$ rolling in now that he is gone. Obviously, since we are about to have a shot ton of buyout money to fork over.
Long also said Gov. Beebe told him to stay away from Malzahn when we were searching for a HC prior. His was then at ASU. Beebe says this is a lie and that Long just simply didn't want to hire Gus. Thus, Long is gone today and Gus is target numero uno to become the next HC and the $$ will be stupid.
During the AU game Gus talked with important $$ here and KM(wife) is a big reason for this possible move back to Atkansas.
The FOIA that I mentioned earlier will come out sooner than later.
