I thought it was Chris Low of ESPN reporting.

You're right. I went back and re read it on UF's 247 site.

UT is a dumpster fire right now

Very strange. Seems like a step down.

They turned down Texas last year. Tells you all you need to know about working with Dooley.

Wilcox has Pacific Northwest ties and UT won't be competitive anytime soon. Washington could be a decent team next year if he improves the defense. Their offense has quietly amassed some good talent.

Sad that UW becomes a better job then UT, wow.

was never a fan of the Dolley hire at all. Talks like Saban, gets the results of Ogre.

They are both from the area. Wilcox's Dad is a Husky and Sirmon is from Washington. He wanted to play for UW, but we offered a different LB instead and he ended up at Oregon. They probably got some nice pay raises too.

Wilcox would have been pushed over $1M in escalators had he stayed past Dec. 31, 2012.Washington will offer a nice pay raise from that?

Haven't read much about it yet, but it wouldn't surprise me if they at least matched that. I heard they had basically no budget for hiring a D coordinator and Holt was already set to make $750,000 next year.

That Pac 12 media deal money is coming in very handy right now. All those programs are flush with cash, hence all the turnover this offseason.

Hey TDawg what are your thoughts on Derrick Brown Jr ? Is there any buzz on him?

They'll avoid getting fired in 12 months.

UT is officially a stepping stone program to coach in the Pac 12

Big, physical QB with all of the tools. I remember watching his high school tape and he reminded me a bit of when Locker was in high school. Keith Price has the QB position on lock right now, but I bet next year Brown will jump Montana and be the #2. We have a couple of stud QB's coming in this next class, so he'll have to work hard to stay in front of them. Sark and Nussmeier have the magic touch when it comes to QB's though, so he's in good hands.

Thanks I wanted an unbiased opinion. He is the son of my best friend. I kept up with him in high school I just have only heard from his dad how good he was doing, but wanted to make sure it wasn't him just being daddy.
At one time he was committed to Utah, but made a great choice going with Sark. Thanks again

good hires by Sark
They are bringing the best 6-4-3 goaline defense in CFB to the Pac-12!
