I think when all the smoke settles, we’ll find out Riley and Dabo were the top targets and Jimbo was the back pocket play. Possibly even Brian Kelly was reached out to.

He made Mond look serviceable. 63/21 TD/INT the last 3 years.

How have his OLs performed? He's recruited OL very well. I'm fine with a good run game. As for TE, I hope we use Jake Johnson. He's a stud TE. We have a much deeper WR pool in state so I think WRs will still do very well here under Jimbo.

Is your belief Woodward thinking younger, with some program building success, or older, longer time established Power 5 coaches? I'd prefer to give a younger, successful coach with ties to other great coaches.

Jimbo will never have a losing record to LSU.

No, I just personally know Jimbo and have since his time in Baton Rouge under Nick

Vol give us your prediction on who the hire will be

Jimbo Got it made at A&M
A buyout by A&M at $95,575,000 as of this year
Getting a $7,500,000 Per Year.
Plus He Loves his Farm in Texas
(Sometimes others things count more than we Know) I get it..
I think the ship has sailed with Jimbo as the Skipper.

If we’re being honest, Jimbo’s the ceiling at A&M. He hasn’t got the job done there. He’s probably not even considered the best coach on his own staff.

His offensive philosophy is holding him back I agree

What do you think our chances with Riley are if he is the first choice as others have stated?
Posted on 10/29/21 at 11:39 am to VolTiger13
I'll be honest, as an LSU guy who lived in Houston 15 years, the most intriguing thing about Jimbo is the epic melt I'd enjoy at the expense of my aggee friends. It'd be PURE GOLD.
Outside of that, I'd rather have Riley or another pipe dream like Rhule, or even Kiffin, than Jimbo.
Add Aranda + Herman to that list.

That’s the issue. Since Jimbo’s taken over at A&M, Alabama has had 3 Heisman-caliber QBs and LSU has had 1. I don’t think there’s an active WR in the NFL that has played for Jimbo.

Vol-
Can you throw us a small bone and just assure us that Tucker is way down the list? Please, it’s Friday after all

Gun to my head? Jimbo… think we’d have our answer from the other guy if we were getting it by now. Could be wrong though
Posted on 10/29/21 at 11:52 am to VolTiger13
So you think if offered Jimbo will say yes? Even after his denial the other day.
Posted on 10/29/21 at 11:52 am to VolTiger13
God I hope you're wrong.
Woodward won't take a risk and it's going to backfire.

It's starting to feel like the list may look like this:
1a. Riley
1b. Dabo
3. Jimbo
1a. Riley

3. Jimbo
