I like Mullen more than most of my fellow VOLS otb, but if we are truly offering top 3 coaching money, I really would like to broaden our search a little bit more.
$7M per year would be at least a $2M raise for 99% of coaches in the country.

But he makes barely 4m/year, less than Lyle. If we are offering money that would nearly be double his salary to Dan Mullen, we better have gotten a hard no from Petersen first.

Arghhh definitely overpaying by a mil. Means Currie isnt able to sell UT better.
I would want to see the buyout, and other things first. I want to see some success clauses etc. Like 7 mil better be the max out with #1 recruiting class, SEC Champion, undefeated season, National Champion, etc all in one season.

Yep. $5.5-6M plus some inventive bonuses should be all it takes to get him.
If ATM misses on Jimbo and really wants Mullen, they might offer more.

Can't stand the bullshite of the Pac 12 and lack of support from the UW administration, fan support is terrible, and hates that almost nobody gets to see Washington play, putting them at a monumental disadvantage for playoff consideration and recruiting. Also is grossly underpaid.
He's making a cunt hair more than Lyle was, and $4 Million in Seattle is like $12 Million in Knoxville.
