Les miles has everything to lose and nothing to gain at LSU. For these 3 reasons:
1. The majority of the vocal fans wanted his head after starting 8-0 because he didn't win the right way.
2. Somehow LSU brass made a sweetheart deal with Crowton where he has too much power therefore LM is wrongly handcuffed.
3. Les Miles can return home to become a hero and a possible icon at Michigan and will be appreciated like he should have been the whole time at LSU.

Maybe. He knows that he would have to recruit western Pennsylvania, north Jersey, California, Florida, even La, because he will not have the horses locally. He will be up against the best recruiters nationally. Nike/Oregon in Northern CA. THE Ohio State, in Ohio, Pitt and State Penn in western PA. Rutgers and UConn and UNC in North Jersey, and everywhere he goes, he would be the out of state guy.
It doesnt help that Mich State was co-champ of the little Ten this year, so even getting local guys is not automatic.
Its more likely he can stay and win the BCS NC in 2011 if Mett is just pretty good.

OR he can stay win another NC and all the idiots will be forced to shut up, and I believe he feels that with Mett we are in a small group with a VERY legitamate shot to win it.

Wrong. "Wanting his head" implies being fired. There was no one wanting CLM fired.

Wrong again. Aleva stated clearly earlier this year that CLM had total control on coaching decisions.

I'll cut you some slack on this one. Sure you can go back. Hero ? Don't know about that. Whoever takes that job over will have a tough road ahead of them based on where the program is now. You are talking about a complete change of personal & structure to change what Rich Rod has started. He's got everything here and can compete for a MNC in 2011 and beyond.
