how short-sighted can one person be? It was one damn game and FSU ran into a buzzsaw at Louisville. It happens.

Now, if that's a pattern, then it becomes relevant. But a single game -- no.

Not to mention that Charles Kelly isn't coming here.

Jimbo will have a much longer leash then Coach O. If Coach O gets the job and we come out struggling next year it will be worse then the last two years with Miles. I'm not saying that Jimbo is the save all, but if Coach O would struggle this could potential set this program back for a while. This is just the way I see it.

Yes, but relevance? In his presser yesterday he said "I did [see the report] when I walked out of a meeting, had no idea. But here’s the thing: I’m not going to talk about any jobs. I love being at Florida State. I plan on being here and I’m just getting ready for Syracuse. That’s the last thing I’m going to say on that. No offense to anybody or anything else, that’s just what I’m going to do. I love being here."

I see this and think "I will not be the coach at Alabama."

Yeah, LSU keeps the Tallahassee radio station up to date with everything they are doing. Including how much they are willing to pay. Makes sense, if you think about it, or maybe it doesn't make sense if you think about it.

That would be with any coach they hire.

Everything seems to be present tense not furture tense. He learned from the best here. .

A lot of FSU fans think that they have lost their coach already.

What that means is if you are an ex-college or pro athlete between the ages of 24-34 years old and like to frick cougars, good news for you Candi Fisher is coming to town!!!

price tag is what you pay for Jim Harbaugh not Jimbo Fisher

So you pay the price tag for the guy who's never won an FBS conference championship, but not for the guy who won 3 conference championships and a national championship? Makes sense.

Last I checked Jimbo Fisher was a more accomplished college football head coach than Jim Harbaugh.

Not sure why you'd want to pay the guy with the inferior resume more...

Sure, a lot of people think he MIGHT win a natty at some point before he retires or goes back to the NFL, but he may or may not, and nobody has any way of knowing for certain one way or the other.

Jimbo on the other hand has done it, so we know with certainty that he's at leas capable of assembling and coaching the nation's best team in a given season.

And he won a natty with coordinators who were paid less than our runnings backs and DBs coaches, fwiw.

Florida has no state income tax. LSU has to pony up to make up for it.

We just fired a coach that assembled the best LSU team ever.

day and seven times in as many days

gets another. Oh and Jim did great in the NFL, highest level. Dare to compare ! Really ?

In no way relevant to my point in questioning why one woudld assume that the lesser-accomplished of two individuals would be deserving of a higher salary.

To your point though what's interesting is that Les both won a NC and assembled the best team in school history, but didn't win the NC with the best team in school history.

I am neutral on who the next HC should be but I do find it amusing how short pro Jimbo fans' memories are. Remember all the shite he caught because of the way he handled J. Winston? He was ripped a new one that whole season.

That's funny never listen to that station. I live just north of Tally now. The sports channel is 97.9 in Tally. It has been weird they haven't brought it up at all.

Considering Jimbo has a grand total of one 9-win season in his head coaching career thus far, perhaps we should take our chances.
