I will save having to click through them. The list is:

Larry Fedora, North Carolina

Jimbo Fisher, FSU

Tom Herman, Houston

Chip Kelly, SF 49ers

Lane Kiffin, Alabama OC

Ed Orgeron, LSU interim

Gary Patterson, TCU

Chris Peterson, Washington

Bobby Petrino, Louisville

David Shaw, Stanford

Gary Patterson isn't a viable replacement. He isn't leaving TCU, I also doubt Shaw is leaving Stanford.

the rest of the list isn't bad

Should have narrowed it down to 8 and taken off Petrino and Kiffin

Petrino would be good if we're tired of the nice guy approach and want to start kicking arse again as soon as possible.

no because they are more viable than Patterson or shaw.

Lane Kiffin could very well be the next head coach of LSU

Frank wilson has coached a grand total of four games at a lower level school. I love Frank and think he made the right move going out and eventually we would probably have liked to bring him back in a long term plan. However, four games in isn't the time to go to frank wilson.

Why do people keep mentioning him? he's ruined every team he's ever had.

I'll be happy with any of them except Kiffin and O. Keep O on the DL though.

I didn't have any hard NOs in this process until I saw people suggesting David Shaw. For me that is a "please, GOD NO!"

Not a bad list. There's really no better viable coaches out there.

this is a stupid meme, he didn't ruin the raiders, they were absolute trash before he was there. Also NFL clearly has no effect on how good a coach is at college.

UT- he didn't ruin them, until this year his one season was the best they have had in a long time.

USC- was a sanctioned dumpster fire that he took over.

I'm not saying LK is the first call but he is on the 2nd/3rd tier of calls. He is an offensive guy and he looks like he has been rehabilitated by the best coach in the game currently.

Please explain. Why "please God no".to Shaw, of all the guys listed? That is an amazing position to take considering his success at Stanford with the academic recruiting restraints. Maybe there is something I am unaware of concerning Shaw that would bring that response from you.

I don't know he is probably about to wash out of the nfl considering how bad the 49ers are.

I don't think he comes here though, he seems like a pac 12 guy and Oregon is very likely to have an opening especially if they can have him back. I'm pretty sure he didn't leave them on bad terms.

I think we would win alot here but I'm not sure he could beat the current version of alabama. His oline requires smaller guys and Saban would eat that up. Also his Qbs are smaller skinnier guys so i don't see a qb making it all season without an injury.

However, if he is willing to slightly adapt his system or say find a Nick Marshall type qb then we could be highly successful with him.

I def wouldn't say no if he wanted to come, but id bet USC or Oregon is where he ends up.
