My favorite story of it is how conservative and proper JDR was and when was old he turns into this horny old man fingering younger chicks in his cars

You should definitely read With the Old Breed by Eugene Sledge. Similar subject matter and better written.

My attention span for written literature has always been shite. I just started listening to audiobooks and I am absolutely hooked.

Started with The Shining last week and I am already done. Absolutely incredible book.

Started IT today. Want to see what cocaine King has to offer. Will report back.

The Heroes - Joe Abercrombie

I read the First Law trilogy earlier this year. Read the first 3 Red Rising books then Mistborn Era 2. I forgot how awesome Abercrombie's writing is. Really easy to imagine the battlefields and such that he describes.

MI5 operative Spider Shepard embarks on an undercover mission in Gaza to rescue an MI5 analyst after the analyst is taken hostage and his two teenage daughters are raped and killed during the October 7 massacre. The stakes are high since the analyst has detailed knowledge of MI5 antiterrorist activities.

The Sabbath by Abraham Heschel

quote:

In "The Sabbath," Abraham Joshua Heschel invites readers on a profound journey to reconsider the very essence of time and spirituality. This seminal work challenges our modern obsession with material wealth and productivity by illuminating the sanctity of the Sabbath as an antidote to our incessant busyness. Drawing from deep wells of Jewish wisdom, Heschel eloquently argues that the Sabbath is not merely a day of rest, but a palace in time where the sacred can be experienced amidst the mundane. Through poetic prose and philosophical insight, he offers a transformative perspective on what it means to truly rejuvenate the soul. If you're seeking to find balance and deeper meaning in life, "The Sabbath" serves as a timeless guide, inviting you to reconnect with the divine rhythm that punctuates our hurried existence.

Suspenseful narrative on events I knew little to nothing about. Did not know of V for Vendetta actor Stephen Rae’s involvement, by marriage, to Delours Price (pictured on the cover). The book made headlines with Keefe breaking significant news about the 1972 disappearance of a mother of ten.
