Baptism in the Early Church, written by Dr. Everett Ferguson.
It's a 900+ page tome which goes through every source that exists on baptism in the first five centuries of the church, and shows that these Christians were practically unanimous on what baptism was all about, what it does, who it's for, etc.

I just finished the novel "The Attack" by Kurt Schlichter. Truly a scary, riveting and horrifying scenario in which the he envisions a similar attack to what Hamas perpetrated on Israel on October 7th but on a nationwide scale in the US with a thousand jihadist sleeper cells activated simultaneously. He convincingly details the border invasion, the administration's malfeasance and how the cartels have been intimately involved. I couldn't recommend it more highly. Be prepared!

Reading the James Herriott “All Creatures…” series. Thoroughly enjoyable; nice to read something wholesome and positive.

I really hate it when people bring me a book I didn't ask for to borrow and read. I normally have 3-4 books planned out that I'm going to read. Now I have to stop what I'm doing and read this book I didn't ask for, and I probably won't like anyway.
A friend brought me the book The Passage to read. I put it off and put it off, but she has asked me a couple of times if I'd read it.
I know nothing about it, other than it may be some kind of vampire novel, and that it was turned into a series on Fox.
I bit the bullet and started it this weekend, and I have to say it's pretty good so far.

January was the slowest reading month I've had in a while. Hopefully do better in February.
Casually reading on my phone at times as well. Don't judge me...

Outside of Dickens, I'd put P&P up there with my favorite 19th century novels.

Yea I love it. At least my 2nd or 3rd read of it. The mini series with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle is really good too
