He was a Georgia Bulldog fan. He understood SEC football and what it means.

One of the greats. Have several of hood books autographed. He did a signing at a bookstore in Cortana mall in 90s. Great guy, really nice. His audio comedy tapes are hilarious. Got to see him once in Lafayette. The had the best line ever to a joke….That dog’ll bite youuu

Lewis Grizzard was a treasure. I read his columns and read all his books. Try placing yourself in his place and time and you will have a deeper understanding. I legitimately mourned when he died, especially after reading about his deepest fears with his heart issues.

His column ran in the Shreveport Times, and I read and enjoyed them as a kid. Good stuff. Dude was only 47 when he kicked.
