Re-reading Way of Kings , knowing everything that happens in the cosmere on re-read, the Kaladin and Dalinar chapters are even more awesome…. And the Jasnah Shallan chapters even more arduous. They serve a point to break up the tension and action but they’re such a drag to get through.

I also loved the Wax and Wayne books but honestly I liked the first trilogy better.
I’ll definitely read them, but I’m less excited about the next Mistborn series being set in a 1980s-technology level environment.

100% on the same page with you. It's more of a setting preference for me. I'm more into the medieval type setting rather than a Western setting. I don't think I'll be into the next Mistborn act that much if it's a 1980's type environment.

BS just announced another secret project.
Cosmere, Future Era, highly connected to events.
He’s doing a title reveal and chapter reading on 3/21

Yeah I got one of the leather bound backing levels
It’s probably my favorite book of his
Need to look into picking up a copy of the way of kings

I just finished up The Sunlit Man. I think it's been my favorite Cosmere book so far.
Starting Tress of the Emerald Sea this evening.
So far I've read:
All of the Stormlight Archives
Mistborn Eras 1 and 2
Warbreaker
Elantris
The Sunlit Man
ETA: forgot that I read Dawnshard
Anything other Cosmere books I should read? Trying to get everything finished before Wind and Truth releases.

I've read almost every cosmere book, and I just did not like Sunlit man at ALL. I could not get into it. I have no idea why. Only one in the entire series I didn't even make it half way through

Same, my wife and friend who read all as well thought I’m insane. Was super pumped when early release chapters said who was the main character. The science involved I just did not care about at all that slogged it down. Like it was fine but after Tress and Yumi I expected better.

Same. It was a total boring slog for me, I hated it.
I loved Tress

On Rhythm of War right now in my re-read prep for Wind and Truth. Are we expecting Azure and Zahel to play a part in it? Should I go re-read Warbreaker too? Tempted to re-read Mistborn Era 2 for the ghostbloods side as well

Zahel
I'm thinking so.
SPOILER
All the stuff Nivani discovers with stormlight/voidlight involving sound frequencies has me thinking that Zahel/Vasher will play a part since one of the levels of breath power or whatever is perfect pitch.

Yep - and now that Odium took away Hoid's perfect pitch, that means Vasher is the only one on Roshar with that ability that we know of, right?
ETA - now that I think about it.. do Parshendi innately have perfect pitch since they hear the rhythms?

It was entertaining. It kind of felt like Sanderson's "Stardust"

Preface and Prologue for Wind and Truth
Couple changes from the first one we saw. I'm pumped.

Holy shite, so much in there.
SPOILERS
Vasher was known to Gavilar and was working with him on voidlight. Very interesting.
Seems to confirm a theory regarding Shallan's mother too
And so much more in there
END SPOILER

First 2 chapters today. Told myself I wouldn't, but I did.
That first line has me scared shitless.
