For all the Murderbot fans, the latest book, Platform Decay, released yesterday.

Well how did you like the ending? I am just curious if anyone shared my disappointment.

Just got an email that my Parade of Horribles has shipped.

I'm about a third of the way through. Enjoying it thus far.
Non-spoiler heads up for future readers: yes, the book drops you right in the middle of something. No, you didn't forget anything from the last book or miss anything that was published in the interim. She does it on purpose and explains the context later.
Confused the motherfrick out of me for a while, though

Just started Eye of Bedlam Bride reread. Gonna be avoiding spoilers for a couple weeks it looks like

I've got about 40 pages left in Buffalo Hunter Hunter. Its kind of a slog, and has gotten kind of dumb.
Hopefully I'll finish it tonight (if I don't fall asleep).
Next up will be Book 2 in the Captives War Trilogy by James SA Corey: The Faith of Beasts.

I enjoyed Buffalo Hunter Hunter a good bit until the end. Wasn't sure what I thought about it at firs then I kind of hated it once I thought about it for a bit.

The concept is interesting. In practice, though, its just written badly.

Same. On the 4th book doing a reread of the series myself.

It just kind of fell flat.
It doesn’t help that the narrator, Etsy, uses that insufferable snark millennial language that I hate so much.
Like I posted earlier, the concept of the book was interesting, but I felt like the writing was poor.
I’m glad this book is over with. I rarely get rid of books, but I think I’ll put this one in the little free library my neighbor has in front of her house.
ETA: something else was bothering me about the book that I didn’t figure out until just now: the resolution to the story happens to a person who isn’t present in 99% of the novel. We don’t have the chance to care about her because we know nothing about her, other than she’s a neurotic who has the speech syntax to match.

Finished it today. It was… fine. Glad I read it, but not in my top half for the series.

Yes I totally agree, there was so much potential for a good ending. The author just went way too eccentric in my opinion.

Good to know. I’m midway through The Three Musketeers so I haven’t had a chance to start it. I will be taking a break for Dungeon Crawler Carl though

It’s a bit under 300 pages, so it’s a fairly quick read.
As for DCC, I have a hold on a digital copy at the library because of this thread

The library apparently got a bunch more copies of DCC, so just downloaded my copy

Me and Mrs. Iwy both read Three Muskateers this year because of liking TCOMC so much. have to say i was fairly disappointed. Not that I didn't like it, it was just underwhelming.
I was not expecting all of them to be so dumb

I’m at the halfway point and it’s been dragging ever since they returned from England after retrieving the Queen’s diamonds. Hoping it picks up once the war with England starts.
I can’t say I wasn’t thoroughly entertained when Athos was describing how he lost all their horses and D'Artagnan‘s ring playing dice. They are all quite dumb and terrible with money.
While I’ve seen the 1993 movie with Keifer Sutherland and The Man in the Iron Mask with Leo, it’s been so long that I can’t really distinguish the two and don’t remember much outside of their names.
I’m taking a break now that DCC #8 is available. I’ll come back after but not sure I’ll read the other two in the trilogy.

I just finished The Stormlight Archive and I have to say that I was very disappointed in the end of Wind and Truth.
It's not fair for Brandon Sanderson to ask people to read 6,000 pages to complete "the first arc" of the story, and then to leave those readers with a bunch of cliffhangers. Very unsatisfying. And there are several things that do not make sense at all.
