I've seen some references to people here reading his books but have not seen reviews or suggestions.

I'm going to start on the Century Trilogy after done with Wouk's war pairing.

I read Pillars Of the Earth a few years ago. I really liked it, but haven't read any others of his. Is it part of the Century Trilogy? I know World Without End was a continuation of the story, but I never had much interest in picking it up.

Did this and World Without End. Enjoyed the read, but I'd never, ever want to read them again.

Pillars of the Earth Trilogy is hard to beat. Some of my all time favorites.

I also really enjoyed the Pilliars of the Earth triology. Some of the most hated characters I've ever read. A very visual book

Pillars of the Earth is one of my all time favorite novels. Follett can tell a great story without the best prose

FWIW, I really liked the World Without End TV series. Saw it on Netflix a while back.

They are very good but word of warning they do have a political bent in their point of view.

I like most of Ken Folletts books. I would recommend two of his lesser known works. Jackdaws and Hornet Flight.

Both are set in WW2. I listened to them through audible. Both were simple stories but they really pulled you into them.

Thanks. I will probably just read the first two of the trilogy.
Don’t care to read his political opinions about the later 20th century.

The last one is the most obviously political. First two not so much and I enjoyed them best.

I couldn't get through the first book of the Century trilogy, it just wasn't Follett quality. Pillars of the Earth Trilogy is very good as are many of his older books: The Eye of the Needle, The Man from St Petersburg, A Place Called Freedom, Lie Down With Lions, etc. His worst book is Whiteout followed by, imho, the Century books.

I'm reading (as opposed to listening) A Dangerous Fortune right now.

Decent story.
Surprisingly, I find the writing to be a bit less than stellar.

I've read Fall of Giants, first in the Century Trilogy. I enjoyed it...Winter of the World is the next one on deck to read after finishing the book I'm currently reading.

Read several of his books ~35-40 years ago - Eye of the Needle, other spy novels. After not reading for years, I started again and recently read the Pillars of the Earth and World Without End. Enjoyed both and will read the third in the series soon.

The wait between books was worth it.
