This is my go-to humor rec. Lamb is probably his most widely praised. Sacre Bleu might be my favorite.

His attention to historical detail is second to none for a humor writer.

“shite my dad says” by Justin Halpern made me laugh out loud. (May be non-fiction).

Also

“Who’s your Caddy?” by Rick Reilly
(Again...May be non-fiction).
The part with John Daly made me laugh out loud.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy Series by Douglas Adams.
It's 5 (6) books.

This. For me it is the GOAT for humorous fiction. Don't let the number of books fool you. They are all pretty quick reads, and you can read the first without feeling obliged to read the rest if for some reason it isn't your cup of tea.

As others have also said, Catch 22 is also good.

Handling Sin by Michael Malone. If you are from the South, you'll get a kick out of it.

Catch 22.

nothing else comes close ... absurdity in every line for the first half, then only every other line for the second half ... just finished listening to an audio version ... great, great book ...

I bought Don Quixote recently. Hopefully it’s funny. I almost didn’t buy it Bc it’s so huge. I honestly didn’t know it was such a long book. It’ll be like reading the Bible.

Big Trouble (Dave Barry)

This is a great suggestion. Dave Barry has a few fiction novels and they're all very good and quite funny.

Another good one is The Gun Seller by Hugh Laurie (the guy who played House).

Thanks for this name. I just finished Razor Girl and am starting Bad Monkey. When I was a kid my Mom loved reading Travis Mcgee novels and Andrew Yancy, the lead character in both these books, reminds me of a funnier Travis McGee. Thanks again for this author's name and if you think you'd enjoy humor set in south Florida give this a try- there are truly LOL moments.
