I just saw your post in the other thread, you don't think telling the non readers who Jon Snow's real parents are isn't spoiling anything?
Has the whole "R+L=J" theory been proven?

Not definitively. But it is one of the more widely accepted SOI&F theories. Some even speculate that if it doesn't pan out it's likely because GRRM gets ticked off that people figured it out.

is the stark gene just that freaking dominate? don't all Targs have blonde hair from inbreeding?
Posted on 5/22/14 at 1:18 pm to Byron Bojangles III
I think Valyrian genes are fairly recessive. Princess Rhaenys had Dornish features.

thats why they were so into incest
they wanted to keep their white/blonde hair flowing

Targ genes are recessive, so it's no surprise that Jon has the Stark look. Princess Rhaenys looked Dornish too. Aegon had Targ looks, but you have to remember the Dornish have Targ blood in them. And a lot of the Targ bastards didn't look Targ either.

Brynden Rivers is 1/2 Targ and he looks like a tree.

Ranking my Top 5 POVs:
1) Jaime
2) Arya
3) Tyrion
4) Theon
5) Cersei
6) Sansa
quite possibly the most boring chapters besides Brienne's... no love for Jon? Davos?

Stark genes are pretty recessive too. Most of the Stark kids look more like Tullys than Starks.
Targ genes are just the most recessive

Tyrion wouldn't be in my Top 5 after his "Where do Whores Go" crap and general attitude and storyline in ADWD.

I think Davos are great, I love the POV from a common man, who has worked his way up the ladder

Think you're pretty alone on that. Sure Theon isn't a likable character, but Theon's chapters improve greatly because you are inside of his head and you know what he's thinking. It's particularly why Theon's later chapters are difficult to bring to screen.

That when he gets stabbed he dies the "true death" and that is the end of his story line.

watch the next book not included a Jon POV and the only news we get from the wall are letters to Stannis or Winterfell

#Throneception
Throneception-when plot twists in ASOIAF novels and the TV series are caused by G.R.R. Martin and/or the show writers reading ideas off of an online message board. Those changes can either involve incorporating ideas posted as theories or by changing plots that were "spoiled" before they were supposed to be revealed in the novels/series.

Hee hee. I'd forgotten that term.
Crackpot:
Jon Arryn's mantra "The seed is strong"
What exactly was meant by this? Is it only a reference to the Bartheon gene as advertised, or was JA looking deeper into the Targ and Lannister lines...was he on to Jaime or Cersei being fathered by Mad King?
