LF doing something that violent would have such repercussions from Sansa. I don't see how that would benefit him to burn that relationship to the ashes.

Can we talk a little about how different people view Sansa's character? I know a few people that think she deserves everything she gets, even if it were to be getting raped by LF. Mainly because of how she betrayed her family and was so oblivious to Joffrey's true nature.
Otoh, you have people that are more sympathetic to her character.
How do y'all feel about this?

She is as stupid as some of the young boys thinking that being a knight or soldier is lots of fun and glory, so I don't really hold that against her.
Overall the frustration at her arcs being boring is mostly because some of them were. I don't dislike her at all, but she did get annoying when I had to read *another* annoying whiny sansa chapter.
Overall I don't 'dislike' her. I'm just kinda bored by the character at times.

Sansa is one of my favorite characters. She was a naive child at the start of the series but is she really to blame for it? I blame it on Ned and Cat for raising her that way and on Ned for not telling Robert "no" or rejecting the betrothal before they even got to know Joffrey.
I reckon I was oblivious when I was Sansa's age too, and most young teenage girls are.
I can't believe there are fans out there who still hate her guts...have they even finished Feast? How could they not see that she isn't into men like Joffrey or Harrold Hardying or Loras anymore??

She was a silly immature girl who made a silly immature girl mistake. I didn't like her for a while because she was annoying, but she has the potential to develop into a really cool character. She might turn out manipulating and playing the game with the best of them.

They are out there. I figure it's more the tomboyish girls that hate her.

More than likely. I was very much a girly girl like Sansa so I can relate to her a lot more than I do Arya (even though I love Arya).

Everybody loves Arya
Also, how much further in Sansa's storyline do y'all think the show will go this season? Lysa out the Moon Door was the last chapter in ASOS.

They'll probably show the tension between Littlefinger and the Vale Lords, and Sansa becoming Alayne. IMO they'll go into TWoW territory with the Vale at the end of S5.

I like her character much more now than I did. I contribute that to her simply having to grow up and coming into her own as a character.
I never thought she deserved what happened to her, but she was your pretty typical annoying teenage girl pre-Ned's death.

I hate Sansa because she is a whiny woe-is-me bitch. I mean Arya and Jeyne Poole have faced shite 100x worse than her and handled it way better.

Not sure if serious. Sansa has faced more shite than just about anyone! They killed her wolf, stripped her, beat her, made her beg for her father's life and lie about her own family only to behead him anyway, threatened her with rape, left her to the mercy of the mob that tore the septon apart and raped Lollys, forced her to marry Tyrion, continued to frick with her afterwards while her family members were dropping like flies...and that's just the Lannisters. Then she has to flee King's Landing as the prime suspect in a murder that she didn't commit, changed her identity, has Littlefinger trying to screw her, Lysa trying to throw her out of the moon door...I think she's seen a fair amount of shite.
Sansa's evolution is going to surprise a lot of people. By the end she could be an extremely strong and saavy player in the game.
As for the Lannister kids as Targs, there are compelling crackpots for Jaime and Cersei being Targs, Tyrion being a Targ or all being Targs. Of the three, I think Tyrion makes the most sense, but I would not be surprised in the least if it's none of the above.

Honestly, Sansa has gotten more than she deserved. Yeah she betrayed her father, but it's mostly due to the fact that she's highly naive. Arya isn't, to where Ned actually bothers to explain to her that they are in danger and not to trust the Lannisters, but trust themselves especially her sister. Ned never paid much heed to tell Sansa that life is not a song, that beautiful people aren't necessarily good and that bad people aren't necessarily ugly. Ironically the single biggest monster in her life, Littlefinger, is the only one to tell her this (ironic that he gives both her and Ned the one piece of advice that they should have heeded while in King's Landing). She's just a tween who has ideals about the world that just don't exist.
Sansa wises up really quickly though, really only putting her faith in Dontos and no one else until she is abducted by Littlefinger. Sansa no longer has any desire to find a prince of her dreams. In fact I think she'd prefer for them to have a major flaw like Wyllas rather than be a "perfect prince" like Joffrey was. But in the end, all Sansa wants is home and her family to go what it once was.
And I don't know how people don't like Sansa's POV chapters. In the first novel it was refreshing to go to someone's POV who was completely naive and oblivious to what was going on around her. After that, Sansa was always in the heat of the action, and always had great scenes with the Hound, Joffrey, Littlefinger, the Tyrells, and Tyrion. I can't think of a truly boring Sansa chapter, and she is probably in my Top 5 POVs.
Ranking my Top 5 POVs:
1) Jaime
2) Arya
3) Tyrion
4) Theon
5) Cersei
6) Sansa
Ok, she's not quite there, but almost.

Eh, maybe you liked her GOT chapters, but I found them horrible and boring. It's really her character in the first book that makes everyone hate her, after that as you say her chapters get less boring. The fact that she betrayed Ned just made it that much worse.

She had to. Her handwriting, Cersei's words.

Agreed. I get annoyed when fans act like Sansa should've been more like Arya in her situation...she would've been dead if she acted too rashly.

Honestly, both were in the horrifying environment that they could best survive. Arya would have been killed quickly by Joffrey in the environment of King's Landing, while Sansa would have been raped and killed on the road to Harrenhall. They both thrive in their respected environments, and are not fitted for the other's.
Seriously, aside from the fact that Tyrion would have shipped her to Casterly Rock if she was still alive by the time he got there, would there even be a chance Arya would survive that?

I completely agree with you. Both of their situations were well suited towards their personalities and adaptability. Sansa would've died if she had to slum it like Arya, and Arya would've died from speaking against Joffrey or Cersei or attempting to kill them.
