Hahaha. Darkhorse is most definitely Patchface.

Reading one of the threads(not sure which) and it seemed like a few people think Margey will be found guilty at her trial.
Who is going to testify against her? From my recollection Kettleblack admitted he lied and Pycelle's dead. Will there even be a trial?

There will be a trial by combat IMO.
I could definitely see the Tyrells throwing their support behind Faegon though.

Because the case was so weak, she chose trial by faith and was released to Sam's father. That was when Pycelle was still alive.

I don't think Margeary will be convicted of everything she's accused of, but I still think it's a big deal that her maidenhead is broken.

Do you think she had sex with Renly in the books? IMO I think she did.

I hate how the show basically wrote off that possibility and made her more of a ho because of how old Natalie Dormer is.

I can't believe I just finished my reread and can't remember, how is Pycelle killed?

Varys, with a crossbow, in the study.
ETA: Or maybe it was a knife... doesn't really matter.

Pycelle is sitting dead in the corner when Varys shoots Kevan Lannister.

Here's a question - is trial by combat the only, or at least the most notable example that we've seen where appeals to gods of one sort or another fail?
We've seen tons of prophecies from adherents to different gods be borne out in one way or another. We've seen dragons. We've seen warging. We've seen green-seeing and seeing through weirwoods. We've seen people made to look like others. All of these are either involved with one group of gods or another or they are at least some type of "magic".
But trial by combat, which is apparently an appeal to the gods to judge someone's guilt or innocence seems to have failed as often as it's worked. Tyrion's first trial gave the correct answer - he was innocent and his champion won. But his trial for Joffrey's murder, though it was close, gave the wrong answer. And if I'm remembering right, the Hound's trial against Dondarion also got it wrong.

Depends on how you look at it. Joff ordered him to kill Mycah, so technically it was on his hands, not the Hound's.

i agree with ffishstick about the hounds trial by combat, also his arc shows that he has goodness in him
also, the viper had the battle with the mountain won, but he dragged it out for personal reasons, so i guess tyrion's champion could have easily won

That's true. I'm not sure if the "I was ordered" to do it defense is applicable in the SOI&F universe. But he definitely was following orders.

I think they got Rickard's trial wrong.

well its not like it was set up very fairly
at least the other 3 had 2 people facing off, not one guy being burnt to death while the other one was being strangled
