I thought the people on Skaggos were basically like wildlings, not people who could be reasoned with or something. Maybe that turns out to be a little exaggerated?

Ned's mom is rumored to have been from Skagos I believe. Very possible that they are all in on hiding Rickon.

I definitely think that Skagos being Cannibal Island is going to be very different from how it actually is. Davos will get there and probably recognize that they're more civilized than people give them credit for, and that they're isolationists. And Rickon will probably be a King there.

I don't see Rickon playing any significant part in the rest of the story

I could see Rickon becoming Lord of Winterfell, but that's about it. Really looking forward to Davos' TWoW chapters.

Being alive pretty much fricks over Littlefinger's plans completely, so he'll serve as that.

I doubt Rickon himself does anything himself, but he's hugely important to Manderly/Davos/Stannis and throws a wrench in LF's Queen of the North plan.

Jon, Bran, and Rickon being alive screw up Littlefinger's plans--and Arya being alive screws up the Bolton's plans.

Do you think Sansa is going to get on the boat at the end of E2, or do you think the aftermath and chaos following Joffrey's death/her escape will be at the beginning of E3??

Could Arya and Tyrion end up getting together and ruling?

The Boltons are already screwed. Plus Arya can't really prove she is who she says she is, unless she comes mounded on Nymeria. Plus they've lost their fake Arya, to where I honestly don't think we'll see Roose alive again within the story. Feel sure though we'll see Ramsay march to the Wall and face off with Jon Snow.

Was it you're theory that Ramsay marches up there and meets the white walkers right when he gets there?

Yeah, i think they are super into the old gods and don't have much contact with the rest of the world. Somewhere down the line they married a Stark i bet

It's my hope. Ramsay shows up at the worst possible time he could, Ramsay and Jon briefly duel, and then the Wall falls. Jon and most of the Castle escape, but Ramsay is taken by the Others, screaming in terror as an Ice Spider begins to devour him.

A Ramsay-Jon duel is something I'd love to see.

I'd be okay with that but I want his death to take a lot longer. Maybe if it takes years to get digested or something.

Yes, it was pretty heavily implied, if not straight out stated at one point in the books, that Oberyn ain't picky in his appetites.

I think the one who was talking about Ned's mother being from Skagos is misremembering the point that it is talked about Ned's grandmother being from one of the hill tribes ( I can't remember which one).
