Who do you picture them casting to play Myranda Royce, assuming they don't write her out of the show?
I picture her being attractive but a little thick. Kate Upton maybe?

Just finished a Bran chapter in Storm and I know I've suggested it in this thread before but I think there's a real possibility Meera is Jon Snow's twin sister.
Other than "it's too Star Wars", I have been unable to put many holes in this theory.
In the Bran chapter, Meera is telling the story of the Knight of the Laughing Tree and it pretty clear the crannoman in the story is Howland Reed and the Silent Wolf is Ned Stark. Safe to assume Howland passed this story to Meera himself. Both Jojen and Meera are surprised Ned never told Bran the story.
I just think there's a bigger role Meera plays in the story other than a simple companion and being Jon Snow's twin would make sense given what we know of Ned and Howland Reed. Meera and Jon are also the exact same age.

The OT would say that Kate is fat enough to be Fat Walda.

The only hole I see in the Jon and meera are twins theory is no way is Meera as pretty as Jon.
Maybe not identical.
Lol

I don't think Jon is ever described as being particularly good looking in the novels. He's just described as having Stark features. This Crackpot theory has always intrigued me, because it is totally possible and if Lyanna had twins, it would be exactly what Ned would have done.

Yeah, I think Jojen will die in WoW, and Hodor in ADOS (and honestly I think it may be the single saddest death in the series), but I have a feeling that Meera has a big part to play in the end of the story.

Does anybody hope to hear more about unicorns in Skaggos in tWoW? I think it would be pretty interesting to read GRRMs take on them.

I fricking hate the Ironborn. They remind me of the Japanese in WWII. I mean how do they think they are gonna rule the world or the north from those puny islands with no resources? Gross overreach IMO.
Meera being Jon Snow's sister would explain the absence of Howland Reed.

So, I would've enjoyed me some "is there gold in the village?" But the overall effect was awesome nonetheless. The look on Arya's face was relaxed and pretty fricking intimidating as she slid Needle home.
And Sandor exudes badassery.
Maybe I missed this discussion, but where in the text did I miss the swish in Oberyn's step? Was this added to the show only? WTF?

There's a lot of backtracking by GRRM and others saying that the signs were always there in the novels but to me I never got that impression. The impression I got from the books was that he was a womanizer that would and had fricked just about any woman that would let him

So....
What is everyones theory on who wins this thing?
I was on the Dany bandwagon thinking she wins with the dragons, but I may jump off that onto the Bran bandwagon.
I see it going down that he takes control of Drogon, kills the other 2 dragons, and throws himself into the ground or some sword or something.
New Theory (for me at least not getting in the 5000 pages here), and I'm sticking to it. Probably thought of it rewatching season 3, and been thinking on it for a few weeks

I read ASoS last summer and I could've sworn that Tyrion or some other character said that it was rumored that Oberyn was bi and that Daemon Sand was a lover of his, and that Ellaria was his main paramour/mother of some of the Sand Snakes.

we met Ellaria last night, correct? he said her name but it was so subtle and hard to understand. the hodors are going to be clueless...
also, i didn't hear anyone refer to him as the red viper yet, correct?

It is alluded that he swings both ways but obviously HBO is gonna play up a gay angle any way they can, same as the Loras/Renly thing,
