I think the purple wedding will redeem the show for many of the hodors.
on another note: my SO has roundly rejected ASOIAF, the books, the show,...all of it.

I wish I had watched the red wedding with Hodors.

She did watch all of Breaking Bad, SOA, and GOT so I guess I owe her. I guess

She's not into violence, profanity, gore, nudity, or any of those awesome things. She also found Lord of the Rings incredibly boring and despite ASOIAF being nothing like LOTR, she equivocates the two as a reason not to watch ASOIAF. She did like the Black Friday South Park episode though (go figure). However, even if she wanted to, she wouldn't really have time to watch it anyways, and she doesn't get HBO.
