Since the hashtag is twoiaf I'm gonna say it doesn't have anything to do with the plot of asoiaf. I believe it has something to do with world building.

So what's theories are there about this mythical world?

Does it have to do with the seasons??

Maybe.

There seems to be pretty educated guesses on asoiaf that Ran (who runs westeros.org) has in the past had a long time theory about dragonblood. And some posters in there that know him think that's what it is.

I have no idea what his actual theory on dragonblood is though

Dragon blood...interesting. Like it makes the Targs mad and have bad tempers?

I'm thinking more along the lines of how dragon blood came to be and maybe what doomed Valyria

eta: how Targs supposedly have dragon blood in them. And may explain why Dany and the other Targ from TP&TQ had babies that were dragon-like in appearance. Although they is a theory that Danys baby was not the way Mirri Maz Duur describes it to be and that Targs don't actually have dragon blood in them literally

Anyway.. Let's talk Bran's visions from the weirwood tree

First Vision: "...in the godswood looking down upon his father. Lord Eddard seemed much younger this time. His hair was brown, with no hint of grey in it, his head bowed. "...let them grow up as brothers, with only love between them," he prayed, "and let my lady wife find it in her heart to forgive..."

-possibly young Ned praying for Jon and Robb

Second Vision: "...two children danced across the godswood, hooting at one another as they dueled with broken branches. The girl was the older and taller of the two. Arya! Bran thought eagerly, as he watched her leap up onto a rock and cut at the boy. But that couldn't be right. If the girl was Arya, the boy was Bran himself, and he had never worn his hair so long. And Arya never beat me playing swords, the way the girl s beating him. She slashed at the boy across his thigh, so hard that his leg went out from under him and he fell into the pool and began to splash and shout. "You be quiet, stupid," the girl said, tossing her branch aside. "It's just water. Do you want Old Nan to hear and run and tell Father?" She knelt and pulled her brother from the pool, but before she got him out again, the two of them were gone."

-Lyanna and Benjen playing swords as children

Third Vision: “After that the glimpses came faster and faster, till Bran was feeling lost and dizzy. He saw no more of his father, nor the girl who looked like Arya, but a woman heavy with child emerged naked and dripping from the black pool, knelt before the tree, and begged the old gods for a son who would avenge her.“

-this is the most mysterious. Who is this woman? Brandon Stark's daughter? Who was wooed away by Bael the Bard, only to have her maidenhead taken, and forced to spend a pregnancy in the crypts of winterfell. Perhaps she bathed in the pool when nobody was around. She certainly would have had vengeance, her bastard became Lord of Winterfell, and she ended up throwing herself from the tower. But this doesn't seem to fit the timeline

Fourth Vision:“Then there came a brown-haired girl slender as a spear who stood on the tips of her toes to kiss the lips of a young knight as tall as Hodor.”

-Dunk and Old Nan most probable

Early Fifth Vision: “A dark-eyed youth, pale and fierce, sliced three branches off the weirwood and shaped them into arrows."

-The dark-eyed youth, pale and fierce could be Brandon Snow making Three weirwood arrows to kill Aegon the Conqueror's Three dragons

Middle Part of Fifth Vision: "And now the lords Bran glimpsed were tall and hard, stern men in fur and chain mail. Some wore faces he remembered from the statues in the crypts, but they were gone before he could put a name to them."

-Bran recognizes a bunch of Stark kings so this symbolizes a lot of time passing

Last Part of Fifth Vision: "Then, as he watched, a bearded man forced a captive down onto his knees before the heart tree. A white-haired woman stepped toward them through a drift of dark red leaves, a bronze sickle in her hand. The woman grabbed the captive by the hair, hooked the sickle round his throat, and slashed."

-My guess is this vision is just showing how the Starks once practiced blood sacrifices

After thinking it through, how stupid was Cersei's plan to kill Robert? Her entire plan hinged on the wills and whim of a wild animal and a 15 year old. Plus her plan was to get a drunk even drunker and have that kill him? Plus he's with Barristan fricking Selmy. Cersei just really really lucked out in the first novel, and she thinks she's a genius when the plan was really dumb. While it worked out, if she was logical, she would have headed Ned's advice and haul arse out of town in order for her kids to be spared.

I'm not so sure it was her plan to have him killed. Sure she was hopeful he would die and very happy that he did but I don't believe it was a huge scheme that she came up with.

None of her schemes ever worked. And Jon Arryn wasn't even her doing as we are led to believe. Maybe they did get Robert piss drunk and just dumb luck prevailed

Cersei had two options at that point: flee or kill Robert. She wasn't waiting for him to return and have Ned tell him the truth.

Yes, but Ned didn't know the truth until Robert had already been out there with his favorite wine that had a little extra in it. Cersei did get lucky but her "plan" was, get him drunk and let him do whatever to himself. Lancel was there so I'm sure there was a contingency plan. Plus Cersei probably didn't care because there were Lannister guards all over the place and Mandon Moore of the Kings Guard was hers. Moore is considered by Jamie the most dangerous of the Kings Guard because you never know what he's going to do.

Was Moore hers? I'm honestly thinking Moore was Littlefinger's creature.

Moore was the one that Pod killed when he tried to kill Tyrion. I thought Moore was told to kill Tyrion on Cersei's orders. I'm just now starting my ASoS reread and on the first chapter of Tyrion's while talking on here and taking notes so I don't remember the details Tyrion first receives that aren't from the Maester treating him or Pod.

Cersei never thinks about Ser Mandon, and I think she'd obsess over her assassination attempt going wrong. I think we can safely say that Cersei is not behind it, which only leaves Joffrey or Littlefinger, and I doubt Ser Mandon would kill Tyrion on the whim of an inbred retard.

Maybe the show will reveal this by using it as motive for Tyrion to kill Joffrey? Or at least why he is accused of killing Joffrey

Speaking of which, is there anything that's been revealed in the show that book readers were unsure of?

Only thing I can think is Renley and Loras being gay and Theon's wang getting chopped off

And that I'm 99% certain that since "Talisa" was killed off in the show that Jeyne Westerling won't be pregnant with Robb's heir in the books.

We'll have to wait and see in Season 5 if we get confirmation about Sandor is the Gravedigger at the QI (which I'm crossing my fingers that he is). Oh, and confirmation on whether Loras is truly as injured as the report Cersei got back on him.
