The newspaper doesn't really seem as relevant as it once was(technological reasons). shite I remember looking forward to buying the Sunday morning paper with all the coupons and extras in it. Sadly it's as thin as a weekly paper now. Of course there is nothing like the sports section which I love skimming over. shite I love the smell of a newspaper.

I remember years back in high school I'd buy a paper with my friends at the local 711 just for the sports section to look at the new App College Football rankings for the new week. We were in Wood shop with newspapers hiding our faces looking at college football rankings instead of building napkin and cigarette holders with the rest of the class. Memories...

Where we live in FL, the local newspaper is referred to as “mullet wrap” for a reference to its quality and relevance.

I love reading the newspaper, when I get a chance to. If I had a subscription, they would just pile up without being looked at though.

The thing I like is reading about stuff that normally I wouldn't have much interest in. Online, you seek out and only read stuff you already know you like. You can learn about new stuff with a physical newspaper. It's nice.

I know I have a nostalgia for it. It's weird. I don't use it often enough to justify paying for it, but I don't want it to go away.

It’s a handy way for me to keep up with upcoming local events. Many are posted in there and thus easier for me to find than by sifting through Facebook.

I like to see Sheriff’s sale notices. You never know what gem of a piece of property might sell for a song if no one else shows up.

Our paper also runs a weekly local history segment that I really enjoy. I don’t know where the guy finds all of his stuff but it’s quite entertaining.

I read my local paper. It's a once-a-week deal, so it's not much of a commitment, but I enjoy it.

I still do. Being retired allows me to relax in the morning with a couple of cups of coffee and the paper. Plus, the Houston Chronicle op-ed section is good for getting my blood stirring before I exercise.

I used to buy a USA Today every day for years. Back when they were 50¢ M-Th and $1 on Fri. When they bumped it up to $1 daily I said adios.

Then I would just skim the used copy at Starbucks while sipping my mocha triple frappe.

Now I wouldn't even use that rag to wipe my arse after they had to inject politics into every section.

Pretty much every paper from a major city went batshit crazy when Trump announced he was running for president and became instantly unreadable.

The only papers I still buy are the local weekly ones from bum frick towns I visit. I get a kick out of seeing how the local 2A football team did, who won the regional FFA competition, and the Letter from the Editor (aka some ol timer cowboy telling people to get off his lawn)

Whenever I go into downtown for breakfast, I pick up a copy of the local paper. I like reading it.

I still enjoy the actual newspaper, but these days it’s harder for me to manage with one fully functional hand.

I still enjoy reading a newspaper, but they have really gone downhill. Good luck getting sports standings or box scores anymore.

I used to read the Times-Pic every morning with my French Market coffee & breakfast. Unlike most women I started with sports, then metro,living/style then front page.
Always saved comics for last and did crossword puzzle.
I really miss that.
I still get Sunday paper...for the sports & crossword puzzle. Sometimes Monday to read about Saints.

Everyday, but the quality has fallen off in the past couple years. Still a good source for local info/issues.

I enjoy a real newspAper from time to time. For one thing, it’s easier on my eyes.
