They are putting in 12 teams. Only the top 10 teams have an argument to be there, so if Ole Miss really deserved to be in the playoffs, they wouldn't be on the bubble of a 12-team selection. Ole Miss lost to a 4-win Kentucky team at home. If Ole Miss doesn't lose that game, they are a lock to be in. Kiffin has nobody to blame but himself.

Quit going for it on Fourth down inside the red zone. Take the FG. You only have yourself to blame for not being in the playoffs.

OM lost to LSU in OT. IMO that's relevant just as the BCS/Polls considered LSU in 2007 with two 3OT losses. It's not straightforward to compare Bama, Miami, and OM on many metrics, but when you note that one of OM's losses is in OT, then a defensible selection is available.

Miami should be ahead of both Alabama and Ole Miss. Miami has fewer losses than Ole Miss and they stomped the Florida team that beat Ole Miss. Sorry, Lane but you deserve to be out. Alabama’s losses to Oklahoma and Vanderbilt are much worse than Miami’s loss to 9-3 Syracuse.
