Joe Buck And Troy Aikman Got Into An Argument Before MNF's Bills vs. Rams Game?

Mom and Dad are fighting...?!?! (Cut to Tony Romo's cell ringing)...
quote:

As Joe Buck and Troy Aikman prepare to call ESPN’s first Super Bowl, there has been tension between the 25-year booth partners over their respective contract talks, Front Office Sports has learned.

After The Athletic reported last month that Buck has reached a new six-year deal with ESPN that will keep him as the voice of the Monday Night Football booth through the network’s next Super Bowl, there has been unspoken tension between the partners that one has a new contract while the other, Aikman, has not received a formal offer.

On Monday night, before the Rams took on the Bills at SoFi Stadium, the site of this season’s Super Bowl, Buck “broke the ice” on this unspoken tension, and he and Aikman had an argument, a source said. It ultimately de-escalated, and the two had a broadcast in which viewers never would have been able to decipher that something was amiss.

They are good together. Both are good at their jobs. I prefer Buck in baseball though. Troy can definitely be monotone, but I'll take that over Romo who is thankfully gone. I always wanted to clear my throat listening to Tony. I really doubt that Troy is mad at Joe for not having a contract yet. Troy knows the game and it is probably just tension under the surface for years between 2 guys that think they are the best in the world.

Joe Buck is an a-hole. I remember him suggesting that Scott Fujita purposely tried to injure a Panthers player on a clean hit.

They actually seemed really tense and weird the second they first showed them. I definitely noticed it

Joe Buck is the most arrogant and self inflated sports media figure ever. Troy Aikman is like auditory Xanax. I'd rather see them physically fight than call a critical 3rd down like they're reading a restaurant menu out loud

Its called PROFESSIONALISM. Both guys are class acts. I hope they stay together, because they are one of the few booths I really like to listen to. If stupid arse ESPN gets rid of Aikman, he will be hired 5 min after his contract expires. He is one of the best in the business.

Don’t understand Joe buck being revered. I can’t think of a single memorable call he’s made besides embarrassing himself calling a pretend crowd mooning”a disgusting act”. He’s who I think of when I think nepotism

People never talk about it but Buck is considered one of the biggest a-holes in the media.
