Apparently Antonio Brown Called Mike Mayock A 'Cracker' During Their Confrontation
© Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
More details are emerging from Wednesday's confrontation between Oakland Raiders WR Antonio Brown and GM Mike Mayock that may lead to Brown being suspended or traded. Per ESPN...
quote:

A Raiders source confirmed Brown was unhappy with the fine levied by the team and, seeing Mayock watching practice, walked over and initiated an exchange with the GM. The Raiders source confirmed information from another league source who said Brown called Mayock a “cracker” and unleashed a barrage of “cuss words” during the altercation.
Now comes word he may actually play... Do you think he will be traded, suspended or play this weekend?

I’m tired of explaining this but “Cracker” is not a racial slur it is an economic slur. To be a true blue cracker you have to be dirt poor and be from the Deep South. Brown calling a millionaire GM a “cracker” is hilarious to me. For a better reference y’all remember in the Coen Brothers “O Brother Where Art Thou” when the Mississippi Governor called that guy a “dumb cracker”? That was the Governor telling that dude he was a dirt poor white cracker”. Even in the old south black people would look down on crackers. /rant

Yall member when an NBA owner was forced out of his spot because he referred to black folk derogatorily? I member... Guess this is some more of that oppressive "system" worth kneeling over.

They should cut him instead of letting him get away with that. I'm sure he'll play Monday night and be wearing his old helmet.

The man sure is sticking it to poor Antonio, his contract is only for three years for $50 million, with $30 million guaranteed. Who can work under such conditions.

Even by Raiders standards, is this guy worth all of this?

8 catch, 100 yard game, to show other teams he can still play. Week 2, traded.

Can you imagine if a white used a racist name against a black GM? Guy would be cut immediately.
