So he's mad that there are extremely lucrative post-football careers available to people who can string together coherent analysis?

You’re worth what someone’s willing to pay you. Unless you collectively bargain your way out of that.

Someone should let Michael Thomas know that it costs absolutely nothing to mind your own business. I've never understood people who put thought into how much someone else makes.

The Players want it all...I gave my tickets up and quit attending games bc it is so damn expensive and these guys make so much damn money. On top of all that, they bitch about not making more!

Where else besides playing ball, can they make that kind of money??

Owners, who have a lot more money, make the ticket prices go up.

Maybe Michael Thomas should go be an announcer if that’s what he wants to do. It’s called America.

Romo is very good @ his job. Generally calls the play before it happens.

If they are willing to pay it then it is none of your business Michael. It is what the market will bear. You young socialists don’t get that concept.

Michael Thomas is becoming easy to dislike.

Yeah just comes off jealous and petty. I mean comparing what Tony does to what the players do is just embarrassing. What Tony does brings value to what the players do on the field and draws an audience for the game which in turn gets the players paid. He really needs to learn to pick his battles better and shutty.

What's gonna bring in more audience: a NFL game with no announcers or Tony Romo doing play by play of paint drying?

What a bizarre analogy. A better one would be: “Which brings more viewers: an NFL game with no announcers, or an NFL game with announcers?” The answer is the latter, and I’m willing to bet that the difference in revenue brought in between the two would be at least 17 million per year.

That's not your money, Mike. Mine, neither.

Dude is good at his job, but is he worth 17 mil a year - NO. But it is what it is, CBS was in a bidding war for him with ESPN and others and didn't wanna lose him, so they paid, literally.

If their was a bidding war, then yes he is worth that. Market says so

Lol I love when people say someone isn’t worth their contract. Guess what? Yes they are. Because your market value is what someone is willing to pay you.

Dude the vet minimum is like 500k a year, right? How is that not enough to play a game? Supply and demand. That’s why he is getting $20 mil a year.

MT13 sounds real tough on Twitter. Then you hear him speak IRL. Of course he doesn’t care if the CBA is signed. He already got his

Isn't the code not to discuss somebody else's contract in the nfl??? Or really just everywhere...and what exactly does this have to do with NFL contracts anyway, I agree, becoming very easy to dislike

Not just the NFL. I say good for Tony wish I could make 17 million a year. Also good for Michael Thomas for his 100 million dollar contract for catching a ball.

This is an example of why some athletes we adore as players ruin their platform of opinion on certain subjects when they open their mouth. Just play the game and worry about yourself. With that said, love ya mike keep catchin stuff.
