Louisiana Tech's will bascially be playing in two conferences this upcoming season...
quote:

According to ESPN.com: “School officials told Conference USA that [LA Tech] planned to depart July 1, 2026, but the sides could not agree to a departure date or settlement fee.”

“So earlier this month, the University of Louisiana System, on behalf of Louisiana Tech, sued Conference USA to be able to exit the conference July 1. In a statement released after filing the lawsuit, the school said the proposed 2026 football schedule drafted by Conference USA left them no choice but to sue.”

November 7th at Troy and at Jacksonville State will be a hard day, but doable with the right kickoff times since it’s in the same state. I’m interested in seeing how they handle November 28th at WKU and at Georgia Southern.

What if they are on to something....
A - They get the revenue income from both conferences
B- They have a "Varsity" and "JV" squad. Varsity plays the harder conference schedule. Meanwhile your JV team is getting game reps.
C- Double the exposure for your program... hell whether the teams are good or bad, people will talk about it.
