F the NFL. That jersey should reside in Houston and stay there anyway.

Eff them. Iowa & Steelers look just alike. Fargo State looks like the Green Bay, Duke looks like the Colts.

Yeah, the NFL can't order them.

How can the NFL have a say in that uniform color combo. Nothing on that uniform in any way resembled the Oilers. Is the NFL gonna start going after the Ole Miss powder blue uniforms now as well?

I think there is some precedent for businesses trademarking a color combination. Say you started a restaurant where they girls wear tight white tops and orange shorts. Hooters is coming after you. Start a parcel business and use the UPS brown and that won't work either.

Not to say it isn't petty by the NFL, but clearly they were mimicking the Oilers unis. Rice also had a similar uniform using the Oilers colors but apparently are not being given a cease and desist. It would seem it's the color combo along with the "Houston" text triggering it.

No truer words spoken. However, didn’t we just give the same shite he wanted to Cal’s papa? They shite on us too.

It's not an exact copy, so the NFL can suck it.

they didn't use the Oilers logo or name. All they did was wear blue. The red is a UH color. I doubt any fan was likely to be confused that the Cougars were actually the Oilers. No TM infringement, IMO.

The oilers don’t exist anymore so what argument does the nfl have here?

Don't they exist as the Tennessee Titans?

They wore those exact Oliver uniforms with the oil derrick on the helmet last weekend. Pretty sure the franchise owns the color scheme and design.
