In the past few weeks, Iowa's gaming commission has brought to light dozens of college athletes in the state who were gambling on sports, some of which were even betting on their own games. He probably added incorrectly and didn't realize his score would hit the over. Common Core claims another victim.

I read a report that said this is probably way more common on just about every college team. Iowa's justice department decided to investigate and crack down, while most states have not done any investigating. Not sure if that is true, but I can't believe it's not actually far more widespread than we're hearing.

I'd have no problem with guys betting on other team's games, or betting on themselves to win straight up...
