Country music superstar Eric Church has canceled a huge concert this weekend so he can go watch his beloved UNC basketball team play Duke in the Final Four and this fanbase is not happy about it. Per Country Now...
quote:

Eric Church’s concert planned for Saturday, April 2 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas has been canceled.

According to a letter sent to his fan club, The Church Choir, the superstar scraped the show to attend a once-in-a-lifetime Final Four game.

A letter was sent to fans who purchased tickets on Church’s behalf reads:

“To the Church Choir,

This Saturday, my family and I are going to stand together to cheer on the Tar Heels as the team has made it to the Final Four.

As a lifelong Caroline basketball fan, I’ve watched Carolina and Duke battle over the year but to have them matchup in the Final Four for the first time in history of the NCAA Tournament is any sports enthusiast’s dream.

This is also the most selfish thing I’ve ever asked the Choir to do: to give up your Saturday night plans with us so that I can have this moment with my family and sports community. However, it’s that same type of passion felt by the people who fill the seats at our concerts that makes us want to be part of a crowd at a game of this significance.

Woody Durham always said, “go where you go and do what you do,” thanks for letting me go here and be with the Tar Heels.”

The letter to fans revealed that “no action is required to obtain a refund.” Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

What else would you expect from an NRA hating Bernie Sanders supporter? He's near the top of my list of "change the station when he comes on" artist.

If he was a REAL FAN he would look at final 4 schedule before the tour and tell them “sorry I’m not available that day”

That he could still watch from backstage before he plays. The audience will wait.

That is such a shitty move by Eric Church. He can spin it however he wants to, but that's pathetic.

Eric Church blows. Country music is dead and this is the type of shithead that killed it.

Country music is very much alive—You just have to know where to find the good stuff, and it ain’t on the radio.

It was a once in a lifetime opportunity for me and my daughter to go see Eric Church this weekend. Now we have to find something else to do.

That is messed up. I get it is once-in-a-lifetime, but the week of the show and you cancel? That is extremely unprofessional. A lot of people have a lot of sunk cost to go there. Should have just "gotten the COVID" like every other liar who bails on shows.
