What has the MLB become when a 6'5" 240 pitcher named Todd Petersen who touches 98 with a 90 mph slider is a 7th round pick? 15 years ago he may have been the first guy taken in the draft. Times they are a changing...

What has the NBA become when a man who is 7'7" 300 lbs is not considered a starting Center? All scouts consider him a reserve that can help if used strategically. lol

Please name all the NBA successes at that height. Its not a long list. And Yao Ming is about the only one that you would claim to be "elite".

It's more situational and long-range now. Doesn't particularly favor towering big men. Plus, maybe he's lousy at free throws and has no post-up game to speak of... On the other hand, if you're playing scoring Centers, (PHI, MIN, ORL, DEN) you'll start him to stifle the other team's primary scoring threat.
