Top 2023 five-star quarterback Arch Manning spoke with On3 Sports this week and talked about his plans to visit LSU and reconnect with his former teammate Bo Bordelon.
quote:

“Coach (Brian) Kelly knows how to win … He’s won everywhere he goes pretty much. I have a former teammate, Bo (Bordelon), so he’s going up there this summer. I want to check him out, see how he does in practice and I’ll probably go up there for a game.”
Manning is the No. 1 overall player for the class of 2023 and is being recruited hard by Alabama, Texas, and Georgia.

Does LSU have a chance?

I would be stunned if Arch Manning plays at LSU. Happy, but stunned nonetheless.

It would be the biggest signee of the new millennium (just will not happen).

Does it really matter where he goes, he will be well paid and he can always go in the portable if he doesn't like it.

I think it’s probably Texas or Georgia but let it play out. Kid will go where he wants too, parents could probably care less as long as he is happy

He will make his own decision. His family will love him and support him fiercely, no matter what. UGA is probably the best overall fit for him, but who knows. I’m beyond stoked for LSU and what a CBK is doing. QB room is gushing with talent already. We will be strong with or without Arch. We would definitely be stronger with him, though.

The Mannings all view family and friends to be very important. There is absolutely no better place for every one of his family members and every one of his friends to get a chance to be in the audience for every snap he takes in his college career.

Except they obviously didn’t feel the same way for Cooper, Payton and Eli, all of whom passed up LSU:-(

We will burn all Archie Who? stuff in front of death valley if Manning signs with LSU.

It would be nice if we could sign him but I say it is very doubtful that would happen.

It would be similar to the Josh Booty/Peyton Manning situation. Try to get both and end up with neither. At least for the moment, then we eventually got Booty 5 years removed of playing football. We currently have the best QB room since I've been alive.

When Bo Nix went to Auburn with all the hoopla how did that work out? Nussmier and Howard coming up. Don’t need Arch

Todd Marinovich number 2. Way overhyped, even for a Manning.

Exactly.

Archie Manning's grandson has no chance of coming to LSU.

A commitment to LSU would automatically earn him a 4 star rating

LSU is his best chance at not being over hyped.

I could give two shits about where this kid goes. Put on a LSU uniform and I’ll cheer for you. Put on someone else’s uniform and I’ll cheer against you if you play LSU. It’s that simple.

Kid is doomed. No way he lives up to th unrealistic expectations being out in him. No way

Right! Coop will never have the talent his daddy had! And Peyton will never be able to step out of the shadow of his father. Won’t ever live up to that hype. And that Eli, no chance he even makes it to the NFL. Forget about winning anything of note. What exactly makes you believe that Arch’s genetics with a lifetime of coaching from his hall of fame laden family points to flopping? Is it possible? Yes. Likely? Hahaha. You used your Magic 8 Ball didn’t you?

He’s being very nonchalant about the whole thing. I’m going to see my friend, prolly a game, who knows etc. Maybe a bit too nonchalant...?

"Prolly"? At younger and younger ages parents are allowing their kids unsupervised access to the internet.

This is my personal opinion BUT I think Arch has a mind of his own and is going to do exactly whatever he wants and will be totally uninfluenced by any of his family. I think he really likes LSU and also, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if he ends up signing with LSU!!!

Could happen, good name bro.

Maybe he legitimately likes what LSU has to offer? CBK is rebuilding the culture and some kids might want to be part of it.
