The "Official Visit" website did a study back in March on the 2022 College Football Brand Rankings, which were determined by surveying 1,000 high school football players.
quote:

To tailor this question to college football brands, we have asked 1,000 high school football players the simple question: “If you were the #1 recruit in the nation with offers from every program, how likely (1-10 scale) is it that you would choose [program]?” The results were averaged to produce our OfficialVisit Brand Score (OVBS) as the industry-specific derivation of a NPS. You can think of this rating as the gravitational pull each program has to any given recruit prior to making contact.
The results showed that LSU ranked No. 6 in the study. Per SI.com:

6. LSU
Strategically placed in the SEC West and sitting in a state rich on recruiting talent, LSU will always be considered an elite landing spot for recruits.

Even after its two-year downturn since winning the national championship, high-quality prospects are still choosing the Tigers, who are looking ahead to a new era under Brian Kelly, who arrives as the winningest coach in Notre Dame history.
Top 10 College Football Brands:
1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Georgia
4. Oklahoma
5. Clemson
6. LSU
7. Texas A&M
8. Texas
9. Oregon
10. Miami

I get the first 3, I can even get OU just because they have a big fan base and have been good for so long. Clemson?

This is not about fans. It is about recruits.

Imagine where we'd be ranked if Ed Orgeron hadn't have been such a lazy, incompetent bastard the previous 2 seasons. He should've ridden all the good will we had going for us into rarified air. Instead he reverted back to his normal idiot self.
