Best QB to ever put on the uniform for the LSU Tigers. He has proven that a QB can come to LSU, light it up, and get developed into a blue chip NFL prospect. What he has done for recruiting alone for future classes is amazing. Great ambassador of our university and program. Tougher than a Waffle House steak.

Hands down the best QB to ever don the purple and gold. Through the years we have had some great ones, Davey, Hodson, and of course the Ruston Rifle, BUT Joe Burreaux is at the top of the list. Keep it going Jeaux

Joe you are one of us. We needed you. You were the missing piece of the puzzle and you coming to LSU has changed our program and recruiting forever. You deserve the Heisman because you have earned it. Thank you and your family for coming to Louisiana and LSU. Finish it.

Joe is one great kid. Raised extremely well, and is very mature for his age. A born leader, and Louisiana is his second home. Whether he knows it or not, we’ve adopted him, and that’s for keeps.

Joe, we ain’t kicking you out. Talk to NCAA about a hardship or something and stay another year. We will cheer even louder next year, Tiger Promise!

Pretty crazy how circumstances like this could change our program and his life so much at the same time.

Who could imagine what he has accomplished since the day he enrolled at LSU! And to think it was us vs Cincinnati lol tears of joy from both sides...what a great decision. Coach O gets credit as well. What a great hire. HOLD THAT TIGER

You mean more to us Joe. We have been wondering in the wilderness right on the edge of greatness for many years. You pushed us over that hump! You won't be forgotten for that kindness!

You may have come in a "kid from Ohio," but you're leaving an MVP from LSU with a truckload of fans who will follow you wherever you go. Geaux Jeaux!

Joe, it's the us, the LSU fans who appreciate you more than you can ever imagine. Thank you for being a Tiger. I'm only sorry that we only got to watch you for 2 years. You will be the standard by which quarterbacks who follow you will be compared. Best of luck to you in your future, I'll always be a fan.

Thanks Joe for your kind words. I only wish my dad were alive to see you play as an LSU Tiger. He would have been a big fan of yours.
