Why are they trying to destroy college football?

Players should be able to make money off of their name/brand regardless if the college pays them or not.

NCAA doesn’t have to pay cause there will always be players who want to play college football and wear the LSU uniform.

I thank God I stopped listening to idiots babbling about sports years ago. Funny how they were almost trying to turn LSU's new locker room into a negative. That's bull shite.

So if you pay the players...do all the players get paid the same amount? And if so...that gonna open up a whole new set of conflicts. And if they don’t...then LSU has to negotiate a butt load of contracts?

The SEC is kicking around going to 16 teams. Why don’t we just go to an even 20 and then withdraw from the NCAA? Then come up with an agreement that is suitable for those 20 teams about paying athletes, licensing names on games and jerseys. Now High School kids can choose to go with the old, antiquated NCAA and all of their regulations and garbage rules. Or they can come to the SEC. Maybe Vandy will even be able to put a football team on the field that is able to be a contender.

26 teams. Two 13 team divisions. Play 12 regular season games (play all teams in you division). Then rank and play 16-game playoff.

Money comes from TAF. All student tuitions and State Sponsored Funding goes to the Educational aspect of LSU. If the Alumni wants to raise millions to build this so we can compete against the other schools in the country with Elite facilities and equipment, then so be it. Alabama built a $14 million nutrition facility that is built for eating healthy food. That's right, EATING FOOD. The NCAA will not pay players because then they would need to take a pay cut and, just like FIFA, that ain't happening.

Is that something they'd spend money on if they had it? No, so it's not the same as getting paid. It's the same as smarter kids getting to use (and be recruited by) superior equipment and funding at MIT as opposed to La. Tech. Elite players get to go to the big schools with the best equipment. Little TV's in their locker pods aren't really going to make them play better, nor are they transferable goods or currency. So blow me dan.

Also, the iPads aren’t just to watch Netflix. It’s to study film and other uses of visual technology to help the players prepare.

Why is it that some folks just have to go and piss all over a good thing?

All money came from private donations

Since when can people not choose where to spend their own money? If I or anyone else want to donate money to athletics it’s my freaking money
