Update:
After practice on Wednesday, Coach Les Miles addressed the media and said that LSU wide receiver Travin Dural, who was involved in a car accident is expected to play vs. Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday:

Update on Travin Dural's car accident according to The Advocate:
quote:

Dural was the driver of the vehicle in an early-morning accident Sunday. He was heading north on Nicholson Drive and made a left turn onto Bob Pettit Blvd. without having a green arrow, Baton Rouge Police spokesman Cpl. Don Coppola said. A Chevy Avalanche, driving south-bound on Nicholson, collided with Dural’s vehicle. No citations were issued.

Paramedics responded to the corner of Nicholson and Bob Pettit Blvd. at 3:16 a.m. Sunday, EMS spokesman Mike Schustz said. LSU beat Sam Houston State 56-0 on Saturday, a game that ended at about 10 p.m. Dural was transported to Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City for the injury, a source said.
Dural received stitches and has been cleared to play by doctors as long as he can wear his helmet without disturbing the stitches.

Original Article:

Multiple sources are reporting that LSU sophomore wide receiver Travin Dural was involved in car accident Saturday after the Sam Houston State game and will possibly sit out against ULM. Per USAToday:
quote:

Dural, a sophomore from Breaux Bridge who leads the nation with 48.5 yards per catch and is second with four touchdowns, bumped his head when the car he was in was hit from behind. He required several stitches on his forehead and was held out of practice on Monday and Tuesday. He was also held out of media interviews on Monday and Tuesday but was seen at the football facility and on campus with the stitches clearly on his forehead.

LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette had no comment on Dural and referred questions about his status for Saturday's game against Louisiana-Monroe to LSU coach Les Miles, who regularly meets with reporters on Wednesday nights after practice.
If Dural cannot play, expect wide receivers John Diarse, Trey Quinn, and Malachi Dupre to see more playing time against ULM.

I would hate for him to lose any stats that mught help him get any awards. The team will be fine this week but he has started out so well that I hate to see him lose this chance to play against a weaker opponent.
