LSU AT FLORIDA FOOTBALL GAME POSTPONED

BATON ROUGE – The LSU at Florida football game of October 17 has been postponed due to positive tests and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the Florida football program, consistent with Southeastern Conference COVID-19 management requirements. The game is tentatively rescheduled for December 12 in Gainesville.

The SEC’s COVID-19 management requirements, as developed by the SEC’s Return to Activity and Medical Guidance Task Force, are available on SECsports.com.

“Our priority is the health and well-being of our student-athletes and staff,” LSU Director of Athletics Scott Woodward said. “The decision to reschedule the game comes as a result of close coordination and cooperation with the University of Florida and SEC officials and we are in full support. It is disappointing for everyone, but prudent. We wish all those at Florida who may be impacted the very best.”

This is a good thing. Our chance to hit the reset button and work on the defense.

We should probably go ahead and cancel the rest of the season just to be safe.

So Mullen pushes for a full stadium to have loud crowd noise from fans and they can't play the game because of COVID-19 infections to the team. So now he will have to play a much better LSU team in December, lol.

It can't be long before Texas A&M players start to test positive. Seems like a lot of intense close interaction of Florida players with AtM players. If these were starters it will give a real good indication of what the potential for in game spread really is.

Karma is a bitch UF. If LSU ever needed a timely delay this is it. Not sure if the delay will help or not.

Not bad for the Tigers. Gives more time to fix issues and better prepare.

Well, we've got two weeks to get this fixed. Hopefully Brennan and Stingley will be back to 100% for the South Carolina game.

No defense, no Brennan. Florida could have lined up a high school team and won.
