LSU had ten players invited to this years upcoming NFL Combine.

They are WR D.J. Chark, OL Will Clapp, QB Danny Etling, RB Derrius Guice, CB Done Jackson, DE Arden Key, OL K.J. Malone, CB Kevin Toliver, OL Toby Weathersby, and RB Darrel Williams.

Left off the invite list were defensive lineman Greg Gilmore and Christian LaCouture who recently participated in the Senior Bowl.

LSU is one of four schools to have double-digits invites along with Alabama (14), Ohio State (11), and Georgia (10).

The combine will take place at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN starting on Tuesday, February 27 and ending on Monday, March 5.

Only 1 of those 4 teams finished outside the top 5 (18th actually) and did not even go to a New Year's Six bowl game.

Clap should have stayed senior year

Why? Has his degree and 3 years of film. Upside was not there to come back.

No Frank Herron after his performance in the Senior Bowl?

LOL at KJ Malone over Greg Gilmore. Malone was an utter liability for 3 seasons

But he's Karl Malone Jr.

Christian LaCouture should be on the list before butter fingers DJ and all 175 lbs of him. I think Christian can play at the next level.

Barring injury or off the field BS I think Greg Gilmore will play in the NFL.

The 3 other schools that had 10+ players invited had a combined 37-5 record on the season. We went 9-4. Classic us.

It really is amazing how many NFL players LSU churns out, yet consistently achieve mediocre results.

Good list, really excited for Darrel Williams. He unfortunately got stuck behind two of the best we have ever had. Or else a lot more people would know his name. He will cause some double takes.

If he was a little faster he'd be a lot higher I think. Does everything right, but is a little slow. He'll probably have a long NFL career as a backup though.

Agreed. Really wish he was back next year. He’d run for 1200+ yards.

Any notable absentees from our team? First thought I couldn't see any. Would also love to see what teams have the same or more players than us.

I thought Gilmore might get a look after a decent season. Herron, Gage, Moore, and Lacouture also not on the list.

Good for Etling. Show the world he hasn't taken his last snap.

Etling was never properly coached. He could make a good reserve QB (in the right hands).

He will never play a snap in the nfl. Not being negative, just realistic.
