University of Tennesee athletic director Danny White caught a lot of slack after they requested donations following the Vols' big win over Alabama when fans rushed the field and took down the goalposts.

On Saturday, the Tiger Athletic Fund Twitter threw some shade at the Vols by making it clear that they will be covering the cost of fines after the LSU fans stormed the field when they beat No. 7 Ole Miss.

I think after all of the hoola when TN stormed the field, the endless repetition on TV and let's face it, the good feeling everyone got from seeing that...that everyone wants some of that now. If TN didn't happen last week, this wouldn't have happened this week, period.

Nothing wrong with asking those on the field to put a lil skin in the game.

Why are LSU fans even storming the field after beating Ole Miss? I saw it and thought "poor LSU, have they fallen down that far?"

The SEC should make a standard policy for all of their member schools...what requirements to prevent this. There should be fines ONLY if the school didn't follow the requirements. It's strictly subjective at this point so schools can't follow any guidelines.

It’s not subjective at all: do not allow anyone on field. I’ve seen guards shoulder to shoulder in front of the LSU student section to prevent it.

TAF is nothing but donations, so how is this any different than Tenn asking fans for donations?

Heck, if I’m in grad school next year, I’m becoming a ‘field storming’ maniac.

TAF " finding a way" will be an extra charge to the season ticket holders next year. Like in college when you look at the "other fees".

You clearly have no clue what TAF is or how it’s funded.

@canebreak...TAF REQUIRES donations from season ticket holders...that requirement fee WILL be going up next year. how do you not know that TAF is nothing but "DONATIONS" aka required fees?

There shouldn’t be a fine in the first place? Also I would like to know what/who the “fine” goes to? What pockets getting fatter? Because it sure isn’t going to improve concessions in tiger stadium.

The fine goes to the SEC post grad scholarship fund
