Multiple sources are reporting that former LSU special teams coordinator Bradley Dale Peveto has been hired to be linebackers coach and run game coordinator at Ole Miss.

Peveto worked under Les Miles at LSU from 2005-2008 and from 2014-2016. He was fired by Ed Orgeron after the regular season ended, just one day after being Coach O was named permanent head coach.

He's a good recruiter. Particularly in East Texas and North Louisiana. Was actually surprised Coach O didn't retain him as such. Or maybe he declined.

Lex... then make him a recruiter only. He is a liability as a coach.

See, I call BS on this. Could the guy recruit, probably very well, but his lack of coaching contributions did not make up for it. You are lying to yourself if you deny that he was a absolute liability on game day, do you think that it was a coincidence that bad shite always seemed to happen when he was around Miles? Did you not see the complete abortion his CO-DC stint was? Was Special Teams not shite over the past couple of years?

Isn't he tight with Cam Akers? Is this another hiring for recruits?

passive aggressive towards a coach and a past LSU player, from a key board bully.

Taking a shot at a former Tiger that busted his arse for our team, nice move S. I'm 99.9% sure you couldn't accomplish half of what Welter did for LSU football. But I bet you're a champ at video game football.

If he was so great at coaching linebackers, why was releasing him from that obligation one of O's first orders of business?

Looks like major college football coaches are like Fortune 500 executives. You could be a shitty CEO/Football coach, but once you are in the fraternity, you are there for life.

My point exactly Mr. Perfect. Good recruiter. Bad coach. Special teams have been horrendous under his watch. Should be much improved in that area, no matter who the replacement is.

Let's see how good of a recruiter he is when he's selling bowl bans & probation

If any of the posters were coaches that have been to his clinic, you would know why he gets jobs. He is not a bad coach. He is one of the better coaches that I have ever listened to at a clinic. He really knows linebackers and he will also stay after to answer each and every question. Also, he LOVED LSU!

As a coach (if you are one), then how do you explain his lack of success on the field? Was it a coincidence that his units seemed to regress when he took over? Serious question, I want to like the guy, but he looks to be lost on game day and every time he takes over a unit, they seem to get worse.

First, do not need to prove anything to you. Second, I was referring to linebackers and not special teams. He has had a pretty good history of coaching LB's, especially with Pelini. Finally, I am not trying to have a love fest for the guy, I am only giving an opinion of what I know.

Woah, I was not asking for proof of anything, I simply want to hear someone who seems to know coaching inform me of something I am not sure of. I hear people defend the man all the time, yet he drives most fans nuts when his units seems to regress. He looks lost on the sidelines and seemed to always be in Miles's arse at the wrong times.

This is so awesome. We get rid of him and one of our rivals just acquired the worst special teams in the league!

they hired him to go after the LA talent. Between Ole Miss and Bama, we will have a tough fight keeping our boys instate!!!
