The Advocate is reporting that all but four LSU offensive linemen are quartined after testing positive for Covid-19 or "were determined to have high-risk exposure."
quote:

All but four LSU offensive linemen are in quarantine after they either tested positive for COVID-19 or were determined to have high-risk exposure to the novel coronavirus, multiple sources told The Advocate on Wednesday.

Players who test positive for the coronavirus must isolate for at least 10 days after their positive test, according to Southeastern Conference COVID-19 protocols. Their symptoms have to disappear for at least 24 hours before they can return to practice. Individuals with high-risk exposure must quarantine for 14 days. Read more.

How do you play your game in week 3 if on Sunday all of your offensive line tests positive for COVID??? This season isn’t going to go down without a hiccup. There’s for sure going to be teams having to forfeit. I think they should’ve stuck to 8 games and left a week gap between games so that they could play makeup games if needed.

Going for herd immunity before the season starts, smart move!

There is no herd immunity. You can catch it more than once.
user avatar

Much less likely to catch it twice though.

Herd immunity is absolutely possible. But herd immunity is the resistance to spread of a contagious disease in a community; that doesn't mean it is impossible for anyone to still become infected, just much less likely. As far as I know any virus can reinfect someone if their immune system did not respond adequately (usually occurs in immunocompromised individuals). The likelihood of reinfection with SARS-CoV-2 is likely very low though. When making medical decisions risks and benefits must be evaluated. Over 2.5 million Americans have died in motor vehicle accidents since 1900, but they haven't outlawed cars. The people of the US should be told the risks and then allowed to make decisions for themselves in cases where they pose almost no risk to others. People with coronary and cerebrovascular disease are allowed to drive even though they run the risks of myocardial infarction and strokes which could suddenly disable them and place themselves and others at serious risk.

Pensa; you’re a lying a-hole or a bot: Most scientist agree that there is no sign and certainly no proof of reinfection. Dumbass.

“Research suggests coronavirus reinfection is unlikely But despite the anecdotal reports from doctors about patients becoming reinfected with the coronavirus, researchers say there's no evidence supporting the notion that people can become reinfected with the virus”

Not only does this expose our coaching and school admin to lawsuit possibilities, not only does that have a decent chance of killing someone, but nothing has shown that having covid means your immune. People have been infected twice. This is how stupid and uneducated you are. Don't be loud if you're ignorant.

Hey Charles, arent you the guy who just wished that Los Angeles would get wiped off the map by a natural disaster? Strange seeing you sound so upset over the health of strangers, when before you wanted to kill millions.

theyre not lying. I'm sure they ran into someone that had covid or something. but the virus isn't a problem for young athletic men, especially those that receive early proper treatment.

Not surprising. My friend was an O lineman and he said the big uglies often times “bumped uglies” in an attempt to build chemistry. Hopefully this will be a lesson that Christ always prevails, and to live a life of sin is not the way to go
