Wilson Alexander with The Advocate is reporting that LSU (9-3) will play Wisconsin (7-5) in the ReliaQuest Bowl on Monday, Jan. 1 in Tampa, Florida. Kickoff would be at 11 am CT on ESPN2.

This will be the Tigers' first trip to the ReliaQuest Bowl, formerly known as the Outback Bowl, since they closed out their 2013 season with a 21-14 win over Iowa on Jan. 1, 2014.

LSU won six of its final seven regular-season games and will head into the bowl with a 9-3 record. The Tigers will attempt to reach the 10-win plateau in back-to-back seasons under second-year coach Brian Kelly.

Unfortunately what I usually see out of games like this is that the underrated team is more excited to play the higher ranked team and with emotion being such a big part of college games, they usually upset the higher-ranked team.

I suppose time will tell, but this is what the ND fans told us would happen. Granted, it's only his 2nd year and he massively overachieved last season, but a coach who consistently goes 9-3 should not be paid 10 million/year. We better win the SEC in the next two years or the pitchforks and torches will come out.
