Report: LSU Is Targeting Notre Dame Coach Brian Kelly

Brody Miller with The Athletic is reporting that LSU is pursuing Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly to be the next head coach of the Tigers.

Miller said that LSU reached out to Kelly early on in the search for Ed Orgeron's replacement and is now pursuing him even more.

Pat Forde with SI.com is also reporting that LSU is making a strong effort to land Kelly.

The 60-year old coach from Everett, Massachusetts is in his 12th season at Notre Dame with an overall record of 113-40. The 6th-ranked Irish are currently 11-1 this season and still in the College Football Playoff hunt.

Everyone remotely close to the four people in the know have been saying "relax SW has his man and everyone will love the choice"; why is Brody Miller contradicting these other people like Justin Vincent, Shea, and other unmentioned sources who said the search is over.
