Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports
Brody Miller with The Athletic is reporting that LSU defensive lineman Neil Farrell is planning on opting back in for the upcoming football season.

Farrell previously opted-out back on August 8 due to coronavirus health concerns with his family.

The 6-foot-4, 319-pound senior recorded 46 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and three sacks in 2019. He is expected to compete for LSU's starting defensive end position.

I'm sure you were completely decisive in everything you did at that age.

meauxses is right and we often forget that these are just kids. like my teenage daughter...sometimes they do crap that just makes you say "what in the actual f...?" But the next day they will surprise the hell out of you and have you bursting with pride. I am sure I did that crap too. As did you.

They're received misinformation and are now realizing that. Good for Farrell - NFL wouldn't have remembered as much about him. Chase will drop and lose a few million but will not be overlooked completely.

That wasn’t his situation my man. He had a family member not doing well whom I believe is now doing better so this is a win / win.

@austinknight that's correct my man his grandmother was not doing well wants she got COVID - i think that she from what i have read is doing a lot better and this is one of the reason he is opt back in. Family first everyone should know that by now - he was coming back next year either way but like a lot of us if our grandmother was not doing good during these times we would put a pause as well on life to be there for them -Thank goodness she seems to be getting better like other families out there and now he can get back to his other family and help them defend there title #geauxtigers

Now if Only Tyler Shelvin can Get off the Refrigerator Perry See-Food diet and trim into fighting weight, Maybe Opt In could be the next move. I hope for his sake and NFL $$$. As fans of LSU we all hope.
