I think another year developing would do him good, but no one can deny through all the turmoil Flott played his arse off. For that, good luck and rooting for you!!!!

I think Flott improved a ton during his time at LSU and will manage to hang around in the league for a good while. Hope he stays healthy, shines in the league, and reps LSU well. :)

We need a documentary about the lives of players who leave early, go undrafted, spend a year on a practice squad, then can’t get a job without a degree or work experience.

Addition by subtraction.

Needs to come back and put on 10 pounds, too light for the pros at 170.

Y’all do know he was graded as the no. 1 Nickel for the upcoming draft, right?

I've not seen that grade, but I'd sure like too. Cold you share the link??

will get abused by NFL sized WRs. sorry but true.

We need him, but he gets burned a lot and won't get graded high on tackling. In fact he avoids it. Bad for LSU and mistake by him I think. Next!

Same could be set about a lot of guys declaring early from this team.

So this kid weighs 170#’s soaking wet. Let’s see him tackle Fournette in the open field. Kid needs another year. Someone giving him bad advice.

One more productive season would have made a significant difference in draft status/$$$$. These kids are getting advice from people with low mental acuity. Wishing him the best as odds are against him now.......SAD!

This is what we recruited under O and CLM. Get in and get on to the NFL. I’m ready to see more student/athletes and fewer football majors.

Baffling to me that you would rather get drafted in a late round or go UDFA than return to LSU and get another year of S&C and another full year starting at a top-tier school to improve your draft stock. For the life of me, I can't understand why some of these players don't invest in themselves fully at the college level so they are at their peak talent when it comes time to make the jump to the league.

Low acuity people around him pushing him in this direction. Short term thinking, NOT SMART!

Baffling why you think he’s magically going to put on weight after 4 years in S&C.

Will be a great nickel back in the NFL. If he’s ready to go then he’s ready, another year wasn’t gonna get him to round one. Most teams are running more Cbs & safetys out there so he should get early playing time, will be a day 2 pick or early 3rd day pick. We bash every player that decides to leave early cause it hurts next years team, according to some people he will be out of the league by 2024 so why do we want him on our team?
user avatar

How dumb is that take? So if a kid is not projected to be a solid draft pick then we should not want them at LSU? A very small percentage of great college players actually make an NFL roster.

He is not a day 2 pick. He is a very late pick or UDFA. If he came back, he would work his way into a round 3 pick, get a much better deal and some actual guaranteed money. But, go ahead and play agent.

Like Pawpaw used to say, just because you’re old enough, it doesn’t mean you’re qualified yet.

UDFA with league minimum. Out of league in 2024

Seems LSU [layers just race to declare for the league, if they're ready or not. Most players fail. Who's advising these kids! If you're not a higher draft pick, your odds of making it are VERY small. Then what? "Fries with that?" as a fall back? Not smart.
